The vibe at 3C Farm Rural Getaway
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
Kellie and her husband were wonderful hosts that were very welcoming. They had brochures about the animals on their land and provided snacks for us to feed them. They campsite was wonderful complete with a picnic table, lamps, lighter, firepit, and a pop-op bathroom station. The area was isolated from the rest of their property so we felt like we were truly out in the woods. It was a wonderful experience. They even offered us the snacks to make s’mores when we asked where the nearest store was to buy some!
We had a fantastic time and recommend Kellie’s campsite to everyone.
My wife and I had a fabulous time camping at the Rural Farm Getaway! Kellie and her family were very excited to have us and welcoming. We got an amazing hands on tour of the farm, and in addition to feeding all the amazing animals, we also got to learn about how her family is working towards living 100% off their land.
The cows were definitely our favorite, but Teddy the Emu was a treat to see and pet up close too! We highly recommend doing an overnight trip, and can’t wait to come back again! Thanks Kellie!
Cool small farm, great for kids
Kellie was an awesome host and the camping site was nicely cleared and able to accommodate three large tents. Lots of thoughtful details like citronella candles, a nice grill, and fire pit. Stars were incredibly bright at night, but the clear highlight of the stay was the opportunity to meet all of the farm animals, especially their pet dinosaur (aka, Teddy the emu) and witness the wonderful caretaking that all of these animals required. It can sometimes feel weird to stay on strangers’ land, but Kellie and her whole family were warm and welcoming (while also totally allowing us privacy). This was a particularly great stay for small kids, and for any adults who are curious about what it takes to run a small farm. It was very cool to meet the turkeys, pigs, mini donkeys, calves, goats, and check out the incubator, baby chicks (and baby emu!!) and the whole set up.
Lovely family farm stay
Kellie and her daughter Andy were incredible hosts, so generous with their time, animals and home. My two kids (aged 8 and 5) would have happily been left behind to become Kellie’s next two animals on her farm. We had a wonderful experience and would return in a heartbeat!
Definitely book this one!
We've done hipcamp enough that I've learned to always expect the unexpected. At Kellie's farm, the unexpected was that her animals were literally from a picture book. Imagine a turkey. Yes, that's exactly the turkey on her farm. Same for the ducks, chickens, donkeys, cows, goats, and emu. And they were all clean and friendly. The entire time I kept remarking I had yet to see a site so well taken care of. To top it off, kellie and her daughter were so welcoming and kind. No wonder their animals are so we'll socialized.
Great little animal farm!
If you are an animal lover you will love this place! I really enjoyed the interaction with the animals on the farm. The animals all get along and are friendly. Kellie and her partner are also really friendly and easy to talk to. I would definitely recommend coming here. It was relaxing and fun. My best friend said to bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. He heard the roosters and turkeys at night from far away. I slept perfectly fine (I sleep like a rock). Visit the farm. It was a worthwhile experience. One big plus... you can buy some eggs to take home. They were yummy! Anyway, check it out and say hi to Terry the Emu for me!
Good times on the farm
What a place! My seven year old and I had a wonderful time camping at this unique location. How often do you get to camp among the sweetest miniature menagerie around?
Kellie was a friendly and helpful host and we'll be looking forward to coming back ASAP.
