Great place to camp. We brought a trailer and our dog. The trailer hook ups and cabins are all in the same area, not as secluded but still moderately quiet. They do allow boondocking in more secluded areas, along with plenty of space for tent camping. It’s a huge 500 acre farm with deer and donkeys that’ll walk right up to you. We recommend doing the tour, our son absolutely loved it. The owner was very welcoming and showed us all around the ranch taking us to see everything from wildebeest, endangered deer and antelope, swimming deer, to mini horses. Very cool ranch, we will probably boondock next time and want to check out a few of the festivals they host. Open sky’s with very minimal light pollution, clean, clean air and can be secluded. If you’re a stickler about rv slots with power and water that need to be perfectly squared off, level or graveled etc this isn’t your place.

These hosts are a home away from home! Kind, so loving towards their animals and so happy to share the beautiful and amazing stories of their adventures in sanctuary!

Incredible place, beautiful with many rescues and amazing animals from many continents.

Will never forget my stay here and can't wait to go back!

Gorgeous scenery under the Texas sky. We even got a special tour and fed the animals. Quiet, hidden getaway. Frank the owner was always there when we needed something. Don't forget to ask about the mead!

These folks have a nice place, only downside is if you need electricity/water hookup you’re gonna be very close to anyone else that also needs it. Hope that some day they will add a few more electrical poles and set them up with graded spots so the larger campers can feel more spaced out

We had a great weekend at Valkyrie Ranch! Everyone was very welcoming and super nice. We enjoyed fishing in the pond, hiking around the property and getting a tour of where they make mead and cider. The animals on property are very cool and it was a great experience to see Pierre David, Black Buck, Wildebeest, and White Tail up close. I highly recommend staying here! And don’t forget to take home some mead and cider, it’s delicious!

This is a very nice place to stay! It is great to get a travel trailer out away from the normal vacation spots. There are lots of unique animals to see, and plenty of walking and exploring to be had. Be prepared for friendly dogs, horses, and mini horses! I will say that some areas are very sandy, and I was a bit surprised at how much ended up inside the travel trailer. Otherwise, the host and location are great and I would recommend it.
