Maggie has opened up her place to me as if it was my own. Treat it with respect go anywhere you would like and enjoy God’s country! The Indian artifacts dig site was an enjoyable experience and even found a Perdernales arrow head point!
Perfect ranch to escape to for the weekend. Wake up to horses in your campsite and cozy up to a fire at night. Maggi and her team were great hosts. Hope to be back in the future!
The amazing open land and animals
Very beautiful scenery and friendly animals. The staff was very helpful, friendly and informative about how to get there.

This was an amazing place to stay, so much to see. We stayed in our RV by the creek and loved the view and walking around looking for rocks and things. We sifted through dirt looking for arrowheads and were lucky enough to find one full one and a tip to another. Haven’t played in the dirt like that since I was a kid. The night sky was so amazing out here as well. I wish we brought our telescope. I can’t say enough good things about the place and people here. We had a little trouble with the landing gear on our RV and they happily helped us get it to a point we could load up on our last day. We will definitely be back and will bring our nephews. Was amazed at how many people sifting for artifacts had been here multiple times, you won’t be disappointed

My boys and I had an amazing time on Maggi’s ranch! Such a beautiful and special piece of property! Definitely will visit again and have already been telling everyone I know about it. My boys have a blast exploring and meeting all the animals.

Maggi's land is a wonderful place and my family and I can't wait to return!
Maggi was a terrific host! We were coming in from Austin during some heavy rain. When we left Llano for the last 20 minutes of the drive, we discovered the roads were closed due to flooding. I texted Maggi and she immediately called me and helped me with alternate directions (Hwy 16 into Fredericksburg, turn right on Main, turn North on Hwy 67 and then take 2323 about 6 miles north of town).
We got in much later than we expected - around 9:30 - but they were there to greet us and show us to our site. It was a lovely site under some very old pecan trees.
We spent the next 2 days exploring the ranch, feeding the horses, shooting BB guns and digging for Native American artifacts. None of us had ever worked at a dig site before and it was more fun than I ever imagined. We found multiple pieces of Native American tools and arrowheads. The kids loved watching their parents 'play in the dirt'.
We pulled a 22' Airstream and had no trouble getting in or out.
This was our first time using Hipcamp and we're so glad we found Maggi's land. It is Hill Country beauty at its finest. We will definitely return to continue exploring and enjoying the hospitality!.
