Mandala Hills - Healing Heart Yurt

What can I say other than it’s awesome to stay at a yurt in the hill country! My fiancé and I came from Houston for wedding plan arrangements in Austin on Memorial Day weekend, but also to get away and relax from the hustle and bustle of city life. Valerie was an excellent hostess with a well thought out property, accommodating us even before our arrival via good communication to find the nicely secluded location! The private entrance with a twisting uphill gravel road to the yurt made us feel like we were heading for a great adventure!
The yurt itself was called the Healing Heart, and Valerie greeted us with nice big hugs!! She discussed the accommodations and gave great recommendations around the area to eat/drink! The yurt had a nice A/C and mini fridge, and a cool record player with eclectic options such as Hungarian folklore (which we kept playing over and over). Who would’ve thought!! The sofa bed had comfortable memory foam. She had extra blankets and towels, organic coffee and tea, and a couple of chairs outside to enjoy the morning coffee or night sky! We regret not taking advantage of preparing a campfire.
The bathrooms were a few steps away and well lit at night, and had both plush and Turkish towels. The shower was incredible with a huge rainfall shower head!! We enjoyed the property for 2 nights, and left wishing we could have stayed 1 more night. It was nice to wake up to the sunlight entering the central dome on yurt ceiling, and also to hear the birds sing as opposed to loud traffic! We look forward to returning back soon, and definitely recommend the unique experience! Keep up the good work Valerie!!
