Description

In its own little universe on the southeastern channel of Fairfield Lake, this 50-site remote campground can be accessed on foot, bike or horseback. The three-mile trail to access these sites departs from just near the cemetery and crosses over a tributary of the lake - so be on the lookout for swamp zombies! Well maybe not quite that exciting, but you may run across some wild pigs grunting and squealing along the way. Despite its “primitive” title, there are fire rings, poles for hanging trash and even a toilet so you won’t have to pull out the Bear Grylls act just yet.
