I don’t even want to leave this review because I don’t want it to be booked next time I go. All kidding aside, this place is amazing, Dot and Rez were awesome. The title of this property describes it perfectly with no exaggeration. If you’re headed this direction give it a try …just don’t take my spot!

We will have to rename the spot....Marcus' Site! We will save it for you next time you are in the neighborhood!

So glad you had "easy access" coming in after dark. You guys knew what to do, the neighbors in the adjacent RV had no idea what time you came in! So glad you had time to go to Gruene. Come back when you can stay longer and enjoy some other small towns nearby!

Dot was a wonderful host. We were greeted at the full hookups site with some wild flowers on a picnic table and supplies to build a fire and protect us from bugs. You are backed up along a fence and there are 5 rv spots. It wasn't super spacious, but it was beautiful and quiet. We were quite happy. If you want to go grab a bite check out Triforks or Milagros. Finally, my sister and her family rented a rv spot next to us but my niece got a fever. They got a rapid covid test and waited for her fever to drop, then joined us. Dot was very accommodating to their last minute changes. Thanks for the relaxing time!

We held a star party at Peaceful Pasture, it was a wonderful night with excellent dark skies for the area and great hospitality from our hosts. I camped there and had the campground to myself, nice and quiet.

Great hospitality and quiet, peaceful location. Good space in between RVs. The hookups were on the opposite side of our RV, so it made it harder to run sewage because our line isn’t very long. Easy to find location. Address on Google Maps took us right there. 15 min from Gruene and about 30 min from the public park at Canyon Lake. Great location! Would absolutely stay there again! Hosts also made a camp fire on Saturday night which we didn’t join because we were so tired after dinner, but a very friendly and hospitable gesture.

Looking forward to your next trip when you can come share s'mores! Oh, and we extended the septic intake to accommodate both sides of RVs!

These guys are the absolute best! From thoughtful touches to trailer backing lessons, you arrive feeling like a traveler and leave feeling like family. The hosts and the location are the very essence of Texas. If you enjoy hospitality, with just the right amount of privacy, as well as verdant pastures and large oak trees with cattle and wildlife right outside your door, look no further. This was our second stay and I can't imagine it will be our last.

Our family had a fantastic experience staying at Peaceful Pasture on Purgatory Rd. It was our first excursion with our RV and we were looking for a quiet, beautiful spot in the Texas Hill Country. The property provided all we were hoping for with privacy, beautiful land and trees and full hook-ups for our RV. Dot was a hospitable and extremely helpful host, and it was a pleasure to meet her and stay on her property. Highly recommended!!!
