We held a star party at Peaceful Pasture, it was a wonderful night with excellent dark skies for the area and great hospitality from our hosts. I camped there and had the campground to myself, nice and quiet.

Great hospitality and quiet, peaceful location. Good space in between RVs. The hookups were on the opposite side of our RV, so it made it harder to run sewage because our line isn’t very long. Easy to find location. Address on Google Maps took us right there. 15 min from Gruene and about 30 min from the public park at Canyon Lake. Great location! Would absolutely stay there again! Hosts also made a camp fire on Saturday night which we didn’t join because we were so tired after dinner, but a very friendly and hospitable gesture.

These guys are the absolute best! From thoughtful touches to trailer backing lessons, you arrive feeling like a traveler and leave feeling like family. The hosts and the location are the very essence of Texas. If you enjoy hospitality, with just the right amount of privacy, as well as verdant pastures and large oak trees with cattle and wildlife right outside your door, look no further. This was our second stay and I can't imagine it will be our last.

Our family had a fantastic experience staying at Peaceful Pasture on Purgatory Rd. It was our first excursion with our RV and we were looking for a quiet, beautiful spot in the Texas Hill Country. The property provided all we were hoping for with privacy, beautiful land and trees and full hook-ups for our RV. Dot was a hospitable and extremely helpful host, and it was a pleasure to meet her and stay on her property. Highly recommended!!!

Dot is an amazing host! The description ‘peaceful pasture’, is exactly what it is! It was so great sitting around the fire in the hill country with dot and stars above! And it is super close to everything you would want to do, whether it be Tubing the Guadalupe / eating dinner and catching a show in gruene / etc
We had a great stay and will be back!

We had a lovely time in the Pasture! We came to Canyon Lake on a maiden voyage with our brand new 43.5 ft 5th wheel RV, but the RV Park we had booked on the lake had no lake access and trailers packed in like sardines with no space to even set up a sun shade in the middle of Texas summer! I hopped on HipCamp, found Dot's place 15 min from the lake and booked it. She messaged me within minutes with good directions. The pasture was peaceful and spacious. We were able to spread out, lounge around, walk through the woods, ride bikes, and even play ball in the field. Dot really has a great setup and is so accommodating. There was one small issue when the water well tank ran low, but I just called her up and she had it resolved in no time. My family and I really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend as a place to get away from the overcrowding of Canyon Lake camping options.

The few other buildings on site.Room to roam!Dog days of summer!Great shade trees.
