Wow. This place is really amazing and so close to home. It felt like we showed up to our own private state park plus amenities. The outdoor shower didnt seem like a big deal when I read the ad but it sure was nice after swimming in the lake on a hot texas summer day. The outdoor grill is brand new. Debbi provides chairs, a hammock, a picnic table and a beautiful fire pit. The property is a little peninsula so there is water all around with 2 little beaches.
We were happy to have some floats and water shoes because Lavon is pretty squishy. We were warned about the mosquitoes (obviously, because this is texas) but were pleasantly surprised by the amazing breeze that kept those little buggers away all night. We sat for hours after dark, watching the full moon rise and enjoying the peace of the lake. This is such a great place that I debated lying and saying it was awful so that it would be available for us whenever we want but Debbi is so generous with her land and was such a great hostess and I really believe that this is a place that everyone should get to experience.
Lovely lake sounds/too much debris
We stayed four nights at this very private spot, overlooking Lake Levon. Loved the privacy (although Army Corp land runs between this site and the lake shore, open to visitors ATVing & people hanging out for smokes. Quite windy for our stay, very open to the south winds, however, the sound of the of the waves was wonderful. Disappointed at the amount of debris/trash I ended up picking up! Half a trash bag full of picnic debris and likely debris left from lake levels rising in springtime rains. We pulled in, in the dark and luckily didn't run over any of the sharp metal pieces that I picked up during our stay...carpet pieces, plastic spoons, many metal pieces with jagged rusted pieces. I would hope that this site could be attended to more frequently than it had been, for future guests. I will say, the RV pad site was very level, the port-potty was clean and even maintained while we were there and there was convenient water & electricity at the pad site. The walking trails were nice.
Private spot with a beautiful view!
My fiancé and I spent the week here for Thanksgiving & wow! What an awesome, private little spot. Waking up to the view every morning was amazing! We loved walking to sit by the lake at sunset and our dogs loved playing on the little beach areas. It was extremely well kept, and though the pad is a bit slanted, we had no real issue getting our rig leveled. We will DEFINITELY be staying here again in the spring!
