Originally part of a large hay field, we have started restoring the land to a native tall grass prairie. Dedicated to removing invasive species and using only plants found in the Edwards Plateau region of Texas, you will see many types of forbs, grasses, and trees. About 600 feet of the Blanco River flows through the middle of the property and you can usually enjoy the sound of flowing water year-round. The shallowness of the water (<1 foot deep) makes it perfect for splashing and easy to walk across.
Get away from the city and be at one with nature. Enjoy the quiet sunrises and sunsets and relax by the river for stargazing. You'll be the only campers on the property so you can explore. This is a "leave no trace" area and you will be off-the-grid, but you won't regret it!
Access the property with an all-weather driveway. Boondockers welcome and discounts for staying during the weekday! Blanco State Park is less than 6 miles away and offers a place for fishing, kayaking, swimming, and about 1.6 miles of hiking trails.

The cool water of the Blanco River flows, but is very shallow, most of the year.

Breathtaking property! Jaime gave very helpful and detailed instructions and we felt very accommodated. The site was perfect, we will definitely be back! We tried our best to keep tidy and pick up any trash from previous campers. You’ll love staying at this camp site, just make sure to always pay it forward!
We had van troubles so we didn't end up getting to stay the night, unfortunately, but Jaime was understanding and let us come the next day before the next people were scheduled to come. It was fun to splash in the water for a little while!
Nice spot on the river
Great spot. I brought a pop camper and was able to get a nice location near the picnic table and the path down to the river.
Heads up, if you are pulling a trailer be weary because there’s a very steep hill at the beginning and I had to take the front wheel off the trailer to prevent it from snapping off.
The river is a beautiful place great to relax in especially at the rapids. Make sure you take a weed eater and ant killer. The grass is high around the camping area and tons of ants. Will be back again.
Peace by the blanco
Beautiful gem. So nice and quiet. Lovely tall grasses in the field and bordered by mature oaks for shade. The river was flowing and offered a great relief to our Texas Summer! Highly recommend!
Surprisingly beautiful. We did happen to go on a perfect day. We have two younger childeren who really enjoyed playing in the river. We ate at Red Bud Cafe in Blanco, which is very good and has a cool small town atmosphere. Would recommend!
