Pitch your own tent on some of the most beautiful 30 acres of land in McLennan County. There are 5 sites, each one beautiful and well maintained. The sites include a small alcove under a majestic oak, which is at the corner and has the best view of a Texas sunset, also a tree laden area close the stock tank. Another site has a raised platform, hammock, and a fire ring with seating. Finally there is a spot on the back side of the fishing pond that is protected from the North wind for fall and winter camping. Nearly any spot you are on has an amazingly delightful view. You can see the sun rise over the trees or the sun set behind a gently sloping hill. You will have access to all of the 30 acres. There are paths to walk, a stocked tank to fish in, (bass, catfish and blue gill), and oak and pecan trees to sit under and view the clouds as they drift overhead. The noises you hear will be cattle calling to their little ones, birds singing, and in the evenings, coyotes howling.
There are no power lines over the property so I invite you to bring a kite to fly! You may even see one or two of mine in the sky. The theme of Coyote Creek Farm is tranquility. It is camping without someone crowding into your space. It is freedom from the hectic pace of the city.
The farm is situated just minutes from Magnolia-Silos, the Dr. Pepper museum, Baylor University, the Texas Ranger museum, BSR Waterpark, the Waco Mammoth National Monument (US National Park Service), and plenty of magnificent restaurants.
There is a well maintained Compost Toilet on the property as well! Each individual campsite has a portable potty bucket provided.

As good as it gets.
This was really a great campsite. The spaces are very spread out so there is lots of privacy. There was a picnic table, chairs and a fire pit. The host even had firewood available. Regena Was very helpful and friendly. The sunset and sunrise was very nice and the large oak trees would be great in the summer if you needed shade. I was there in the winter, however. I would definitely stay again.
We loved this campsite!
Passing thru Waco and looking for a cozy campsite to spend the evening? Look no further!
My wife and I were personally greeted by Regena who showed us to our campsite and answered any questions we had. The site has plenty of space and is surrounded by cow pasture. I can't emphasize enough how peaceful and quiet it was at night - we loved it. The campsite is close enough to town to be accessible but somehow far enough out to feel truly relaxing. And the sunset was gorgeous!
We ordered the Cajun Breakfast and Regena brought it out in the morning with a fresh pot of coffee and orange juice - what a treat! She's an absolute gem of a host who was eager to hear about our travels and we had a great time getting to know her.

Did some tent camping with my girlfriend and we had a great time (apart from the bad wind storm that night). The site was quite large for the two of us and our two dogs so there was plenty of room and privacy. Regena was generous and welcoming!
Everything we could have imagined.
From the moment we arrived the fun began! It was my 7 year olds first camping trip and Regena made the trip even more special. We didn’t go fishing but we did enjoy seeing all the fish and the extremely vocal and friendly duck.
Dreamiest little gem!
This is the dreamiest little gem of a spot. Feeling like the luckiest family for stumbling upon the Coyote Creek Farm treasure! We’ve been road tripping from CA and visited the North Houston skatepark on our way to surf the wave pool at BSR. We had no idea where we were going to stop for the night and took a chance on this place. We could not be happier to have taken that chance. We pulled in late at night and Regena was there to greet us at the gate and lead us to our spot. When we woke up we could not believe our eyes! We were surrounded by wide open spaces and cows grazing near by. Regena met us at our site in the morning with a cheerful hello and a fresh pot of hot coffee and a thoughtful note. Quite honestly, Regina’s hospitality is what makes this place an extra special treasure!
If you’re on the fence in regards to where to stay for the night or are looking for a getaway, TRUST ME, this is your spot!
Also, all BSR friends, this is so close to the park. Great spot to camp during your visit.
What a wonderful experience. The property is beautiful, with cows that wandered by and a pond with a very social duck!
Our dog loved being able to run around and there were plenty of trees to put up the hammocks.
Regena is an absolute delight. She was so accommodating and gracious. She made us a fabulous breakfast the next morning and handed out several unexpected little gifts!
I would love to stay here again!
Pampered on the prairie!
Single mom and two kids got pampered on this prairie site! We loved hearing the cows and birds in the morning. The stocked pond was great - we caught bass and perch and saw a resident duck. My children enjoyed a scavenger hunt with Ms. Regena and we had a charcuterie plate for dinner that was restaurant quality! Local wine was lovely too. Ms. Regena welcomes us as guests and we left her land feeling like family. We will be back!
Perfect spot to stay in waco!
This was such a wonderful experience!!!! Regena goes above and beyond to make each guest feel cared for. The property is immaculate! The scenery gorgeous. Just perfect!
