Pretty cool , the other campers felt a little to comfortable walking into our campsite repeatedly making it not a very chill night. Otherwise pretty spot and river access all in all I had a good time

First of all, there is a group of people staring me down when I drove through the neighborhood before the large drop off going in this cove/holler, whatever you want to call it, and I wondered why they didn't mention possibly needing 4WD to get out of there. With hesitancy, I decided to try to it, and then when I almost arrived to the location, a car quickly pulled out their driveway right in front of me, nearly blinding me, and drove in the other direction. I thought that was strange, but kept going. When I arrived to the gate, there was a combination bike lock on a large silver gate and lock on a chain that was not mentioned and I was unable to undo it, for I had no key, and wasn't given instruction on a key. I immediately felt a strange feeling like this might be a trap in the end of dead end at the bottom of hill where you come to get robbed, all your things taken, and then raped/maybe killed. So, I felt like to spare my life I needed to leave. I had to go to worst motel and spend way more than expected on a horrible room. Fortunately, Hipcamp did look into this matter, and customer service was really understanding and helpful. I didn't get a refund, but they did give me credit for my next booking.

Nice, quiet, and peaceful. Take it slow from higway 969 to get to the gate and you will be rewarded with a tranquil meadow right by the river.

I had a great time at this groovy riverside oasis. I was mostly alone with the grazing cows and my dog. Ultimate privacy when I went.

I love this place. Been staying here for almost 2 yrs fairly regularly. Nice to have a spot that seems far but isn't.
