Knead Peace is a country-style holistic retreat in the woods where the ponds attract life, creeks carve the earth, peace blows thru the trees and love whispers down the wooded trails. Star gaze in the open field to catch meteors and shooting stars regularly. Book a tree-shaded or campfire Massage or Reiki healing session while you're here and let the sounds of nature melt you away. Take a walk down a path or invent your own out here. Scout out and build your own camp site for future use and to inspire others to visit. It's rather quiet and serene out here and peace is abundant.
If you like a little more action in your life we also have open mic nights on Wednesdays, and concerts or festival nights on some weekends. There is a resident pup or two on the premises that will come by and hang out or babysit your furry friend, so we're definitely pet friendly. We have a water hose for potable water or filling your tank on property and an open air private outhouse. We have a strict trash Pack in and take out all trash and pet waste policy. Leave sites better then you found them and don't cut down anything that is growing. Dead wood is fine for dug in campfires. We are less then 4 miles from Stillhouse Lake and hiking trails at Dana Peak Park. Harker Heights has a variety of restaurants, night life, and shopping. We're less then 15 minutes from FT Hood in Killeen and less then 20 minutes from Scott and White in Temple. It's about an hour from Austin's night life and festivals. A neighborhood Walmart is less then 5 miles from the property as well, for your shopping needs.

It was delightful. A super peaceful locale. Great for a fire and hanging out. It's near some great trails (a short drive) for hiking. Very welcoming place.
Wonderful site but plan accordingly
7/10! This is such a great place to camp! Let's start with the fun stuff - the good!
Starting with the grounds, this is such a festive place. There are lots of trees so you can always find shade and it has a hippie vibe for sure. The other people that we encountered sitting around the huge heart-shaped fire pit fit right in there. There's lots of cool art just laying around and the dogs had so much fun getting to explored the land a little!
Of course, the best part is the amazing hostess, Jeannie. She is just a genuinely nice person.
Now for the three minuses:
We have a pop-up and there are no water hookups. There is a water hose by the entrance, though, but it would be nice to be able to use the sink. Similarly, there are no electric hookups with the exception of the stage. We have a long extension cord so we had flexibility but this would be an issue for someone that didn't plan ahead (so plan ahead). And the biggest downside - this is a functional venue so it looks like it could get a little lively on nights that they have events. If you are looking for a quiet time, you just need to make sure that you are not staying there when an event is going on.
Notice that all three of those things are really minor and you can easily work around those things if you simply plan ahead.
Bottom line - this is a wonderful site, especially for the price! I would imagine that we will be returning to this site again in the future.
Lovely spot! Thank you c:

Appreciate your appreciation!
Camping here was a great time. The host, Jeannie, is very friendly and accommodating and the location was conveniently close to Rogers Park where we spent our days.
The campsite we were at was pretty close to the road and the road noise was very noticeable but usually died down to only a few cars an hour later into the night. There are other people and dogs around this site so if that is a problem for you, maybe consider elsewhere; otherwise, it is a great atmosphere and a fun place to stay.
All in all a great camping experience. I would stay here again.

Thanks so much always enjoy folks enjoying the place!

Aww happy to have y'all and glad you and the pups enjoyed it. It's usually quiet around here unless we are doing an event. Like you said that's easy to work around. We are primarily a tent camping site. Self contained RV's with generator and water tank are good for out here but we do not have RV hookups yet. Maybe a few in the future but we definitely cater to tent life. Looking forward to having y'all out again! Thanks for the review!
