TLDR: really great experience and already have a trip booked to head back!!

Upon arrival, I got my choice of where to camp. The early bird gets the worm, and this bird got to camp by the cabin. It was so nice! It was when I saw the porch swing that I knew it was where I wanted to camp. The inside of the cabin was also open, and I did *respectfully* explore, but not use the inside. Wow! You’ll have to see for yourself if you’re able to without disturbing another camper.
The property was everything you’d expect, and it was really wonderful waking up to the cows grazing not too far away. I also saw a few armadillos and got some real “Texas vibes,” if you will. It was really wonderful to get to just freely, and again, respectfully, explore the property.
To top it off, the hospitality was out of this world!!! You guys, my car battery died on Easter Sunday and my phone battery was on less than 10% with no other ways to charge. I frantically messaged Gary and called him and left a voicemail. He was in Easter service but took the time to let me know that he would be out to help as soon as he could. I, thankfully, got this message before my phone died so was able to wait without panicking. I should also mention there were no other campers out at this time. Randy, Gary’s brother, showed up not long after my call to help me out. It took SO much longer than expected to get my car charged up, but Randy was kind and patient the whole time. THEN, get this, MY CAT ESCAPES MY CAR TO HIDE UNDER THE CABIN! She won’t come out when I call or for treats. It starts pouring. This WHOLE time, Randy is waiting for me up at the gate to make sure I make it out safely without more car troubles. Whole process took an unexpected two hours probably. Not ONCE, did Gary or Randy make me feel bad for the HUGE inconvenience. I am just so grateful and appreciative.
I HIGHLY recommend checking this place out! Please remember, leave no trace! 😊

Gary is extremely helpful and responsive. I wanted a quiet spot to have a fire and spend the evening to myself. This property was perfect for that. There were plenty of nice, secluded, and flat spots to set up camp. The firewood was plentiful and the open pasture affords a great view of the sunset and stars. I look forward to returning.
