Great place to camp! Had full hook ups and opportunities for many activities - would definitely go back in the spring or summer for water fun!

We LOVE this place!! It was not only our first time here but also the first time taking the new camper out (fresh to camper camping). It had a good sized open area to navigate backing the trailer and and was easy to hook up. The only down side was or note for the future is to make sure you have extra hose for the black/grey water.

We enjoyed an easy hike down the river bank and even saw a deer at camp. The rain put a damper on things, but not for long! We will definitely be back!!

We just spent Thanksgiving week at RV site #1 and we absolutely loved it. We had a gorgeous view of the river and the site was so peaceful and beautiful. The hosts Becky and Ricky are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet and they do everything necessary to make sure you have what you need. While they live on the property, you never see them unless you need them…they respect your privacy. We actually preferred staying there rather than our last few sites because it’s not crowded (4 RV sites and 1 cabin) and more remote than larger sites.

Our stay was great! We were at site 4 and had plenty of space to run around. The Brazos river was just a few yards down the hill. Becky was super nice. You could grab a wagon full of wood for $10. Would recommend this spot!

Wonderful facilities and great view. We had a girl's weekend where 7 of us got together. We rented two of the RV sites and their little cabin. Everyone had a great time - it was private and the amenities were everything we could ask for. All 7 of us agreed that we will be doing this again next year!

Very nice and peaceful. The river was beautiful. RV site 1 was great! Will definitely try to go back again sometime.
We had a nice camp fire where we roasted marshmallows and hotdogs. We fished off the river bank and had a wonderful weekend!

The only constructive comment I would have to say is that the trees along the drive could be trimmed up some to make room for the tall RVs and the access to the river could use a little work to make it easier to walk to the river.
The cabin’s river access is great though, and, despite what the camp rules said, the owner was kind enough to allow us to use it. Thank you so much for that. I have weak legs and I would not have been able to get down the steep slope of the RV site access.

The hosts were very kind and accommodating when we had an issue with our camper, however this place was not as advertised.

There were four camper sites all crammed into less than 100 yards of each other between Becky’s backyard and the river. We were at site 4, which was directly in their backyard. Their 3 dogs wandered to our site several times, which we would not have minded, but they ended up getting into our closed cooler at night and stealing food. They stole food sitting on the table as we were all around as well. In the morning there were people working on the farm and their dogs were howling (it literally sounded like a donkey). We ended up packing up after the first night and going to Lake Whitney, which was cheaper and an actual place to camp. The sites here look large in photos but are crammed in next to one another with no real privacy. Our spot was missing a fire pit and had a small picnic table that would fit three people, when each spot is listed as being able to have up to eight people.

If you are looking for a quick stop on a long journey across, this place may be for you. But do not expect a place to getaway for a quiet nature weekend.
