Now with fiber internet! This classic 1977 Airstream Argosy has everything you need for a relaxing and fun visit to Austin. Gather and recharge in a spacious back yard on the hip east side. In a diverse and neighborhood, just down the street from Springdale General, Canopy and ABP. 15 minutes to downtown, the airport, or Circuit of the Americas. This listing shares a giant yard with a yurt and bathhouse but does NOT include access to those spaces, please be respectful of hosts and other guests.

Please be aware that this trailer is nearly 50 years old and not everything is as perfect as it was in the 70’s. Amazingly, some of the original lights still work. Others have gone out in years of travel and hosting, so I’ve added a couple lamps to supplement. The trailer is incredibly intact, but it is a vintage space and has vintage character to match. It’s also a trailer, so it’s a compact space. If you like to stretch out or are over 6’2”, this might not be the best choice for you.

Two single beds, comfortable couch/workspace/dining table, a kitchen equipped with a gas stove, fridge, and all the essentials so that you feel at home. Bathroom with wood-paneled shower and hot water. Lots of light throughout the space and a big green backyard.

The airstream is situated on 1/4 acre lot behind my home. I've been renovating the front house myself and building out the back space to be a sweet retreat that feels close to nature. Depending on what time of year you are visiting, the yard may be lush or barren. In the spring, the yard pops with wildflowers. In the summer, there's a canopy of wild grapes over the yard. Texas heat can be intense, but the A/C in the trailer is icy. You will have to walk on either side of the house to get to the backyard and there might be mosquitoes or other living things outside. If you are looking for something with an outdoor space that's highly manicured and sterile, please do not book. If you are looking for high ceilings, multiple bedrooms, or are uncomfortable walking on unpaved spaces, this isn't the listing for you. The airstream is nearly 50 years old, please adjust your expectations with this in mind. This space is ideal for adventurous and outdoorsy people, people who might be looking for a different experience than a typical hotel. This is a very unique and special space that I invite others to share, please plan to be respectful or book elsewhere. Please be aware the backyard space is shared with the yurt & bathhouse listing.
