Dolly Parton is named after female legendary country singer/song-writer! Arrow Acres Tiny Farmhouses are nestled on 8 acres in the Piney Woods and feature onsite creek fishing and walking trails, as well as a quaint outdoor entertaining space perfect for evening fires and stargazing. If you feel like venturing out, we're a short drive from the Big Thicket National Preserve, where you can enjoy hiking, biking, and canoeing, and, if you're feeling lucky, we're just 26 miles from the nearest casino. As the song goes, "Just follow your arrow, wherever it points." Arrow Acres offers a peaceful get away from the city and busy life. Our tiny houses are for folks that like intimate spaces that are cozy and homespun. You'll be charmed by how comfy and relaxed it feels to nest in a tiny home. Enjoy morning coffee on the covered front porch or hangout snuggled up in the treelined loft upstairs. Even though the farmhouse is tiny, you'll find its larger than a hotel room and comfortable. The tiny house sits on the property with 3 other tiny house rentals and a barn that is also available for rent as a venue. All 3 houses are staggered to give each house privacy and a view of the pond. We are right off the main road (HWY 69) but toward the back of the property away from the road. When you arrive, you can park along side of your unit or in the common area.

Relaxing little farmhouse
Arrow Acres was the cutest little spot for our girls weekend. The home was clean and had plenty of amenities. The only issue we had was there was a termite swarm the first night that we ended up having to take into our own hands. This was not your typical bugs in the woods situation and I doubt it happens again or often. I do feel that the owners should have taken the time to help fix the situation rather than sweeping a few off the wall and offering a can of “Off.” We spent quite a few hours of our weekend killing and cleaning termites instead of enjoying our stay. Other than that, it’s a nice little place.
The Tiny house was absolutely beautiful. The decor was so cute. The location is perfect if you are wanting to be relax and enjoy the outdoors. My only complaint is that one night we had a swarm of termites outside our door. Somehow they were getting in the house and we spent a couple hours trying to kill them off. I don’t have a problem with bugs but there were just so many coming in. The host was nice enough to come sweep them off the wall but that didn’t fix the problem because they were still coming in. We ended up having to go buy our own flying insect killer because unfortunately our host did not do anything else to fix the issue. The host are very friendly I just wish they would have been a little more proactive about fixing our bug problem. Even apologizing to us would have been nice.
Our family had a relaxing weekend here in the Dolly Arrow Acres Tiny Farmhouse! We easily checked in and the place was spotless with the nice AC blowing. We got to watch the small thunderstorm roll through from the nice covered porch. After the storm passed, we grilled some steaks on the outside fire ring provided. Saturday the family fished and caught a total of four bass (released). We watched movies and played games indoor to get away from the heat, again the AC was ice cold! Loved it! Saturday night we grilled again. So relaxing the family wants to come back! The host was great and such fast responses! Thank you!
The cabins are exactly as pictured. They are chic, comfortable, well appointed. We rented all three for three families and it worked out great. If you are renting one, I'd caution that only one has the fire pit lit up with the outdoor light bulbs. Two have a fire pit. They did have prongs for marshmallow roasting!
The cabins do sit reasonably close to the road (75 mph speed limit) so there is road noise. There are woods in the back but you did not feel like you are secluded in the woods.
The pond is next to the 3rd cabin. Not in front of the cabins (as pictured). Fishing the pond is reasonable. Kayaking the pond is not reasonable. It's probably the length of two kayaks. Lots of rivers close by to put your kayak in.
Very close to big thicket and we had a great time!
