Solitude and room to explore await you at Bluff Creek Wilderness Preserve on 67 acres near Paige, TX. No house nearby, no small backyard, no dense campsites, just you, the gorgeous tall elms and oaks, the wildlife, and nearly 1 mile of clear, red-sandy creeks meandering through the property that run most of the year (except late summer)

There are only a few campsites scattered throughout the entire preserve so you will truly feel secluded. Sunset Cedars is located on the edge of a field facing North West. Nestled in a grove of beautiful cedars and oaks, you get all the shade required in TX, with an open view looking out over the field. Great spot for wild life watching and sometimes cow watching on the other side of the fence.

This site also accomodates vehicle camping. You can pull in under the trees, or camp in the field.

There is some solar lighting, a picnic table, and a fire pit with a swivel grill for cooking. Down a little path there is also a dry composting toilet exclusively for this site.

Gathering firewood IS allowed, as long as it's dead and fallen. Bring a saw! And please leave the live trees alone.

When not hanging out at camp you can explore the 50 acres of woods, the 17 acres of grasslands, the larger Bluff Creek, and the smaller Leak Creek. Bring your kayak or canoe If you want to paddle down Bluff Creek, your telescope if you want to stargaze at the dark sky, your kite to catch the wind in the field, or your binoculars for birdwatching.

Is this site already booked for the weekend you were hoping to camp? We have two other sites on our property you can find by searching for Grove on BC or Shady Oaks.

This place is wonderful! The site is huge and secluded. Perfect for a group or a family. We had my 2 rambunctious boys and 2 dogs with us and it was nice because they could run wild but couldn’t really get far because there’s a fence on one side and very dense woods on the others. The composting toilet and solar lights were a great added bonus. Sunset was beautiful and the creek was cool and clear. Thanks again for having us!

We loved our hip camp site. It was secluded, beautiful, with some really nice touches (check out the solar panel lights). Our site featured a nice view for stargazing and compost toilet conveniently located at near us. We will definitely be back!

Great location for a campsite. The campsite is nestled in a grove of trees so there is plenty of shade and it sits on the edge of a large meadow. You get the privacy of being under the trees while getting to look out towards the open meadow. It was really really nice.

Add in the awesome solar-powered lights hanging in the trees, the flat tent sites and the toilet close by it seemed like heaven.

We'll be back. These folks seem to care and it shows.

We enjoyed our stay here so much. We definitely plan on coming back. It was so quiet and peaceful here other than the coyotes at night. This camping spot is pretty secluded. We didn’t see anyone else while we were there except when we were exploring the property. I will admit I was kinda freaking out about the composting toilet but it wasn’t too bad. If you are looking for a quiet place to relax, this is the spot for you. We string up both of our hammocks and spent a lot of time relaxing in them. Our dogs loved the trip as well.

Enjoyed a great last minute trip to Andrea's land! The setup thoughtful with a fire pit, picnic table, solar lights for the camp area and the composting toilet is all you really need while "roughing it." The Sunset Cedars site is nicely situated along the edge of a tree line which acts as a windbreak but you have unobstructed views of the stars out in front of camp. We appreciate the ability to have our dog with us, and off leash, where he can explore but not be out of site. Expect to hear sounds of the country...cows, dogs barking, the occasional car...which you can hear in the backcountry of most state parks anyway, but it does not detract from an otherwise peaceful experience.

Enough space for a large tent and a great view of the adjacent field and stars.Plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the view.
