A little piece of paradise

First. Gilberto was an amazing host ! His “slice of paradise “ is exactly that ! The place was amazing, wish I had more time to enjoy it !! And yes there’s fish in his ponds !! Thanks again Gilberto !!

Gilbertos place was great. A lot of space to roam and fully fenced in. He was kind and helpful. If I was passing through this area again I would stay here.

It was wonderful staying on his property. Me and my wife and are 2 dogs got to just get away from the world for a few days.

It was a bit of a hectic night and a little confusing, but a couple friendly people, including the host, helped us find a good area to set up camp. This is also an event venue, so there was a quincenera going on towards the front of the property when we got there that went on until almost 1 am. We enjoyed the music and people sounds being the only campers there. We also got to camp in the back, a little ways away. After 1, we had the place to ourselves. It was perfect. The only other thing was the people doing the Christmas lights for some event on Monday (we camped Sat-Sun), but they were very respectful and courteous. The host was also very friendly and polite.

Host was very accommodating. This is 40 acres of land with a few ponds and a creek. There are no set campgrounds, I was free to explore the ranch at my leisure and pick my own spot, which was nice. Discerning campers may not enjoy the sounds of the highway but there is a lot to explore here. My son loved trekking through the woods and collecting firewood and various bugs. There is land on the other side of the creek that is very secluded if you can cross it, although Gilberto told me they are installing a bridge across it so people can access the back portion easier. Me and my son were the only people there, so it felt like we had the whole place to ourself.. This is a great spot if you want to spend a couple nights secluded in the woods and don't want to hassle with campground rules or people telling you where you are allowed to camp. There weren't many trash cans sprinkled around so make sure you keep your trash with you in order to keep the land as you found it.
