Campers should know that Sites #10 and 11 are very close to the shower shed, the toilet shed, electrical outlets and (nonpotable) water spigots. Firewood is free, and can be found in two locations: (1) under a shed roof attached to the toilet shed; and (2) in a large cage located in the large area designated as campsites 2, 3, and 4. Our mountain biking and hiking trail is now open. We are working on the map.

Excellent campsites and campgrounds. The winery was also a nice bonus. Unless you’re used to Texas summer I suggest staying here during the fall or winter.

Camping and wine. good stuff.
Beautiful land: lots of different trees, grasses, and wildflowers on hills and rocks. The campsites are far enough apart to offer some sense of privacy. The sites are well kept. I recommend sites #13, 14, 15, and I think it was #7, too. We stayed at #13 which had a descent sized space, half shaded though you get both morning and evening sun, so bring some tarps. The firepit is very small, however. The showers were very hot; it was high 90s and the shower barn (accurate description) was very hot and I could not find a way to lower the very hot temp of the water. I was sweating before I could get my clean clothes on. The bathroom is another beast altogether. It is a port-a-potty wrapped in a barn. A place to go, but don't expect anything more.
We cleaned up and went up to the winery for lunch on the last day. Both the food and wine were excellent. Came home with a couple of bottles.
Camping, wine, and bikes.
Great camping spot; almost all sites had shade. (Ours did!)
Mt Bike trail on property was fun - just have to remember to start early on those Texas 100 degF days. Having a winery/restaurant on site is a huge plus.
Beautiful area
Campsite #6 has a small alcove that you can pitch your tent for privacy. We had a great spot to watch the sun set at this location. We had to do a little maintenance in the alcove due to thorn bushes sprouting up (we always bring clippers & small saws for that reason) But we could have easily set up camp in the manicured area of the campsite.
The evening was great- we went up to the Tasting Room & drank wine, ate pizza, listened to live music. Then went down to the campsite to watch the sunset and play games by the campfire. Went to bed peacefully until some rude campers started partying loudly until 4am.
We left in the morning instead of staying the additional day due to the lack of sleep and irritation with the inconsiderate campers.
Walt took care of it the best he could by asking them to leave & banning them from camping there again.
We will be back to camp, it is too beautiful of an area and we had such a good day prior to the night that it begs for a second chance.

The property is secluded with many trees and rolling hills. We have visited the winery a number of times and enjoyed the views so decided to stay on the property. We stayed in the dispersed camping area which allows spread out camp sites and plenty of shade. The dispersed area is also closer to the tasting room if you want to walk.

Campsite #15. I didn't notice that there were 2 different listings in Hipcamp; one for RV's and one for tents. I have a small RV and needed an RV site for the electric as it was 90+ degrees out and wanted to run my a/c. I stayed one night and Walt was kind enough to reimburse me for the 2nd night that I had scheduled due to the electric issue. The campsite was beautiful and ran along the creek on one side and a hill on the other. There are tall trees that would provide great shade for tent campers and a nice sized firepit. I didn't get wifi at this campsite and have T-mobile. I was able to get wifi at the winery. The winery was beautiful with picturesque views. I bought a bottle of rose' and sat on the balcony to watch the sunset.
