The campsite is easily accessible from the parking area. Area is heavily wooded. We have cleared paths and underbrush to two sites and are expanding the number of sites as time goes by. These sites contain firepits. We allow fires only in the firepits, please. Firewood is for sale on site OR you are welcome to pick up deadfall (there is lots). Please to not cut down or deface any of the living trees. There is an outhouse nearby the sites. You can explore our 43 acre property, enjoy the multiple hiking opportunities in the nearby state parks. Greeter Falls, Stone Door and Fiery Gizzard are minutes away. These state park trails include a variety of waterfalls, scenic views, history and geological interests and range from easy (stroller friendly) to rough terrain (wear boots with ankle support). If you plan an extended stay we are a good base for daytrips to Nashville, Chattanooga or Lynchburg. Nature and wildlife photography opportunities, both on our property and in the state parks, is abundant. We limit the "light noise" on our property to allow for some wonderful stargazing on clear nights. On moonless nights it is EXERMELY dark, so we recommend carrying a flashlight or headlamp.
NOTE: The driveway is about a quarter mile long and it is gravel. We regularly do maintenance and add fresh gravel; however, rain and snow run off do take a toll on it. Be advised that if you have a low clearance car there may (occasionally) be bumps and scrapes. My Ford Focus didn't have an issue, but some cars might be lower.

We had an amazingly restfully time tent camping on Kim’s land. We were able to quietly hike (more of a leisurely walk) throughout the property, we picked blackberries and saw deer grazing the land. Kim and her husband Troy were extremely hospitable and welcoming! We will definitely be back, maybe for a fully equipped cabin stay which are also available! PS Gnometropolis is a must see!

Kim and Troy were wonderful hosts! We booked last minute, literally on the road as we were driving towards them. When we arrived, the site was clean and prepared for us, with 5 gallons of water waiting for us on a table. The property was quiet, with no light polution whatsoever. Beautiful stars! And plenty of wood avaliable for fires!
They are a wealth of knowledge for anyone interested in permaculture, hydroponics, off-grid or homestead living, etc. Fun to talk with! We might check out their cabins next. Definitely recommend booking a visit here.
very enjoyable and peaceful - the brand new and colorful outhouse alone is worth it - lots of nighttime woodsy critter sounds to lull you to sleep - Kim is very sweet and helpful
Kim was a super helpful and friendly host. Very good communication and nice location. Kim definitely went the extra mile to make sure I had everything I needed.

We loved having you! I'm glad the weather held out. The day after you left we finally got the rain they had been predicting. Can't wait for your next visit.
