The Preserve

27 acres of hardwood forest with seasonal creek. Pitch a tent or hang a hammock and set off on a relaxing hike or just hang out by the fire. Our resident golden-doodle, Muppet, is dog friendly and would be happy to book a play date with your canine companion. We also have a spot to park a small (under 30 feet) rv.

The hosts of this site were super sweet. The lady had a headache but she still came out to greet us. They had the most amazing big dog that will run up to you but not jump. My girls loved him. It's right off a road, but there wasn't too many cars going past.
The site had beautiful yellow flowers growing.
There was a walking trail, but you have to pass the buildings to go on it.
To give you an idea of placement on the property where you can camp. I'll give it here.
When you drive into the property you immediately see a building, cars and a rv. You can park in basically two different locations. It's a stones throw to the buildings. So, if you are looking for privacy, this may not fit you criteria. But, it's only 15.00 so it's totally worth it. There is a little stream by where you can park. We couldn't really hear it, as the sound of the freeway was heard. It was a little muddy the day we camped. That was because of tons of rain the day before. There are wonderful big trees where you could put up your hammocks. It is in full view of the buildings. Once again though, it beats the heck out of the Walmart parking lot or parking somewhere that you shouldn't and a cop knocks on your door in the middle of the night asking you to move.
I would go there again.
They had a fire pit over by the buildings but they had plenty of wonderful firewood that was free. And they had made a place to sit so you wouldn't have to bring your chairs.
Ryan was excellent at communication and the place was exactly as advertised. A nice little stop off the highway.
Everything at The Preserve was great! The host, Ryan, was great and quick with communication. His spot was just off the highway for a very convenient and private, safe place to camp during our cross-country drive.
Cool spot, easy to get to and find. Good value. Definitely no privacy issues mentioned in another review, but it’s not completely remote. Would definitely book again. 2 golden doodles are very friendly too!
We stopped here for an overnight and camped in our truck tent. Our hosts were warm and welcoming and we found their property to be beautiful and natural. An open grassy space was a perfect place to camp with easy access and privacy afforded by surrounding trees. Our dog immediately became best friends with the two resident Golden Doodles. We explored a trail blanketed in wildflowers and got an excellent rest before hitting the road in the morning. Nearby Murfreesboro provided many options for meals and/or shopping. All in all a great location and we hope to return.
