Lovely place tucked into memphis.
This campground is as advertised. It's a nice quiet hide-away spot in a lovely field full of small farm plants, landscaping trees, and bushes.
Most importantly for me, it's in the city and we were able to visit local attractions easily.
The electric power was a looooong extension cord that could not deliver enough amps to power a microwave, but it kept the lights on and, seriously, who misses a microwave?
However, the host was terrifically helpful and communicative, which made our stay so much better.
$45 a night?!
I never post bad reviews but I think this experience deserves some attention. Things were not set up for us at all. Upon arrival, I had to cut a few tree limbs in order to get through the gate. Once we got through the gate I had to cut more limbs just to get into our site. The owner was aware we have a 35ft 5th wheel. The 15 amp extension cord was not plugged in to power. The water hose had a huge split hole in the end with tape wrapped around it which did not hold at all. Couldn’t use the hose due to this. The firewood was soaking wet. Tried to get a fire lit but the wood was just too wet.
All of this would’ve been acceptable at 15-20$ a night but for $45 a night… I’m not sure how that’s justified when I’ve been to other Hipcamp sites with full 50 amp power and water hookup for $40-$50 a night.
Again, I never write bad reviews. But there needs to be some accountability for people who want to charge the higher rates and provide less care/attention for their guests.
Other than that the site is pretty nice, despite the landscaping crew that comes by and drops off equipment at the end of the day.
Perfect spot for us to stop along our road trip! Close to the interstate and a nice little getaway from the city thanks to a border of trees. I'm quite envious of the tomato garden located beside the site we chose 😁
A pleasant stay
This was my first Hipcamp experience and it will be hard to top! A beautiful property, easy to follow instructions, great amenities, and a responsive and helpful host. Can’t ask for much more! My pup and I would happily stay again.
