The campsite was very clean and the property was well maintained. Faye and Nick were absolutely fantastic. They were welcoming and friendly but gave us plenty of space and privacy to enjoy our time camping. The stream directly beside the camp was clear and had several rock breaks that created a rushing sound. It was the perfect background sound to enjoy sitting around the fire and falling asleep to.
Nick made sure we had plenty of wood for the fire pit that is close to the tent area. There was also a table, chairs, and a large trash can. Even though there are two campsites they are far apart and we did not hear or even really see the other campers from our site. The bathroom is located in a building about a 3 minute walk from the tent area. It was clean and had a shower, sink, and toilet.
From how peaceful and quiet the area is, you would think it is located 40 miles out of town. But it is conveniently 5 minutes out of town so you can still get food and anything else you may want. There are many waterfalls to hike to that are all within an hour of the campsite. Jack Daniels and George Dickel distilleries are a short 10 to 15 minute drive as well.
This was a great campsite and I think you will enjoy your stay as well!
Thank you again Faye and Nick!!!
Absolutely amazing! Hosts were friendly and accommodating. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant and relaxing time. Well maintained site and the fresh eggs were incredible. Thank you, Faye!
Beautiful, peaceful and simple
This is a great place for camping! It’s private its beautiful and simple. Being right next to the creek hearing the rushing water made it peaceful and easy to sleep! I honestly think I loved it more than staying at one of the state parks there is only two camp sites and they have a good distance between the two it’s nice not being surrounded by a lot of people and the owners are extremely nice! I would recommend this camp site to anyone!
Peaceful by the rushing creek.
We REALLY enjoyed our stay at Rock Creek Wooded Campground. We loved how private the site was and it was right next to a wide creek. The sound of the water was awesome to wake up to.
Faye and her family were kind and welcoming. She delivered fresh eggs to us for our breakfast in the morning.
This place is well worth the nightly rate, if you are looking for a quiet secluded place to camp.
We highly recommend this beautiful secluded location in the woods on the bend of a clear running creek. The sound of the water flowing over several wide falls provide a soothing soundscape. The hosts, Faye, Nick and Kash were fantastic. We were met at the drive and given a quick tour of the property on the way to our campsite. If we needed anything they were only a text away.
They had set up a fire pit which we brought to life around dusk. As the embers burned the moonless night dropped an inky black blanket over us. Solar lights brought from home illuminated the surrounding trees for a midnight round of glow in the dark frisbee. The days were lit with the dappled sunlight that filtered through the foliage. A few small battery powered fans, plus putting our feet in the knee deep flowing waters kept us comfortably cool.
We left with great memories and conversations about come back soon.
