We have a quiet camping spot located out in the country, but still conveniently located close to all the area attractions. Pigeon Forge and Dollywood are just 45 minutes away, while Gatlinburg, Cades Cove, and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park are just a few more minutes up the road from there. Panther Creek State Park is a scenic 10 minute drive around the lake. There you can hike, bike, go paddling, or just enjoy the scenery and wildlife. Black Oak Marina and Off The Hook Lakeside Bar and Grille are just 2 miles down the road. Black Oak Marina offers boat and paddle board rentals if you want to go out and enjoy beautiful Cherokee Lake. Knoxville and Ijams Nature Center are a short 35 mile drive to the west. If you forget to pack something, need groceries or supplies, Walmart is 3 miles away. We have both a Hertz and Enterprise car rental location just a few miles up the road if you are in need of a vehicle to get out and explore in during your stay.

Your camping spot is a grass driveway which is fairly level in elevation overlooking a large field with usually some cute and friendly NEIGH-bors. It faces Clinch Mountain to the north. There are no street lights in the area, so on a clear night you’ll be able to see all the stars and constellations. In early summer, usually in the month of June, you can sit outside and watch the lightning bugs. We use to have a 35ft class A coach and had no problem backing it in the site. Upon arrival, I will be available to assist you with getting in if needed. We are located on the corner of a quiet subdivision just off a main secondary road. Electricity is a 50 amp / 240V hookup and if you need a 30 amp / 120V hookup, we will supply the Dogbone adapter if you don’t already have one. There is also a 20 amp / 120V GFI connection in the pedestal. Potable water is available at the site too. Once you get setup, you should be able to detect our WiFi. We will supply you with the password after you arrive and get settled in. We also have a 30ft above ground swimming pool that you are welcome to use. Our kids are grown and it doesn’t get used like it use to, but we still keep it going for those lazy summer days. We usually have it open from May through September depending on the weather of course. A fire pit, charcoal grill, picnic table, and trash bin, are all available at the site too.

We look forward to meeting you and if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Host was there to greet us and helped with advise on parking. We were only there for one night and arrived just before dark so we did t have time to enjoy a fire. Location is very quiet with nice vies over the fields. We have a 21’ class b and had to be careful driving in and out as there is a dip off the road. Enjoyable site.

Beautiful area, close to the lake, and shopping, it was quiet and peaceful. The area is pretty level with power, garbage, picnic table and water, which was nice. The owners were very kind.

Beautiful view overlooking the Shetland pony field. Welcoming host who came out to greet us upon arrival. Our grand daughter loved petting and "naming" the ponies when they came to the fence to welcome us also. We had a cloudless night with an almost full moon, so the stargazing was incredible!

In one word FABULOUS.However I would like to explain why it was so incredible. I am an empath and an HPS. So in order to recharge my batteries I have to be alone and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Melvin was a complete God send. He never bothered us and only was super happy all the time. When I would see him leave for work he always wore a smile. The most simple things in life are greatly treasured . I have never seen such beautiful rolling hills . The town was only a 3 minute drive to get to main drag. But you seriously felt like you owned a piece of Heaven. I didn't want to leave and if he wasnt booked I would have stayed as long as he allowed me. . Defiantly will be back. I love EastTn. I have been all over but this is by far my favorite State. I Give Melvin 6 out of 5

Melvin and his wife were great hosts! Nice site with Beautiful Mountain views in a country setting. The site also has a picnic table, fire ring, grill, and is well maintained. I would suggest checking in with Melvin at the front of the house before heading to the site so he can help guide you in. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others!

It was a picturesque spot overlooking several fields. It was a single site so very quiet. There was electric and water hookup and pool that our grandchildren enjoyed in the morning. . Melvin and his wife were both warm and welcoming.
