Providence Landing Grass Strip
Providence Landing is a private grass strip and farm. It’s mostly forest with a couple pastures and a 1500ft grass strip nestled in a valley between a year-round creek and a couple of forest-covered knobs. Most RVs can find a suitable place to setup but in the winter, options will but limited due to wet, hilly grounds. Pilots with pre-approval may fly in to camp.

Great private spot, close enough to the interstate for a perfect overnight. Appreciate the owners concern on the pending rain and bonus egg drop from the chickens. Very hospitable and respectful of our privacy.

James and his families land was beautiful and quiet. The perfect spot to get away. I was invited to help feed their baby cow, so fun! James was very helpful and informative. Would definitely stay again.
Jame's land was awesome! Me and my girlfriends made a last minute reservation and James was so flexible and made sure we got settled in despite him having to work his day job.
We tent and car camped and stayed pretty close to the driveway. He has other tenants on the land but despite being in a less private part of the property, we were very comfortable and it was quiet and nothing bothered us! We filled up our pots using water from the house spigot which was so great.
The stars were really gorgeous from his property. We headed out to Great Smoky Mountain National Park after our stay and James gave us some awesome recommendations of the more scenic route to our destination! Those recs made our trip truly awesome! Their spot is awesome in the off season, we had our pick of the dates and times.
I feel like James and his family embody the hipcamp spirit with their hospitality and kindness.

I camped back on the airstrip field. It was very private and peaceful. Lots of space for my dog to run around. The hosts were very helpful. They provided a fire ring for me and checked in several times to make sure everything was alright. They are nice people and I would definitely recommend staying here.

We stayed for a couple of nights in our 31’ camper, while passing through. Lillian greeted us when we arrived and was accommodating and friendly. We parked by the driveway, next to the barn, so there was a bit of noise from all of the cars that passed, but other than that, it was quiet through the night. There are no hookups, but they allowed us to use our generator. Great place to stay when passing through.
