Sited a few metres from the beautiful Derwent river on a private grassy spot. Above is a thriving vineyard and a generous host, Derek, who made us so welcome and supplied maps and places to visit. (Mt Field NP is a must) You can fill time in easily walking, fishing, kayaking or just sit and watch the river run by!

We had a beautiful camping experience at Rylands - Derek's property is so peaceful and relaxing with sweeping country views and the incredible river Derwent literally moments from camp. Our dog and toddler had a blast, as did we with what felt like private, riverside paradise yet it was only ten minutes to New Norfolk. Thanks Derek! We can't wait to return.

Couple of nice fish and even spotted a local Platypus
From the moment that Derek met us the gate and showed us to the block he was an absolute pleasure to deal with
Just arrived home and feasting out on baked trout from our weekend adventure
