Camp and fish just a stonesthrow from one of Tasmania's most stunning natural landscapes, Cradle Mountain. Here you'll find nature at its best, just 10 minutes drive from the Cradle Mountain Visitors centre, the perfect base for discovering this magical area.

This listing is for our powered site - the only powered site we currently have available. If you do not require power, please book one of our other camping sites.

Our campsites are on scenic, levelled areas overlooking the large dam and bushland, with grassed areas ideal for tents and camper-vans, and a portaloo a short walk away. The block is a natural timber and grassland block, with devils, quolls and wombats also residing here.

There is a lovely walking track around the dams periphery. Feed fish from the edge, spot platypus frolicking about, and keep your eye out for Peacocks wandering the property too. Whilst you are welcome to bring your dog with you, please ensure they don't harass the wildlife.

A keen fisher? Throw a line in at our other dam and catch your dinner! Nothing beats fresh fish, that you caught yourself, cooked on a campfire.

This was a great spot! Blue stone parking for the camper van and power was great! Good services - toilet (very clean) and essentials available if needed. Only 15 mins to cradle mountain.

Wonderful site, wonderful host, super close to the cradle mountain visitor center. I wish I could add a photo of the stars, never in my life have I seen so many. Highly recommend.

Walk the track around the lake and you’ll see this beautiful small waterfall.A sea eagle I think, Scott told me what it was called but I forgot.Peacocks!Wallaby tracks, I think. I was searching for the platypus living in his dam, but didn’t get a chance to see it.

Absolutely incredible service from Scott! We got bogged in the next door paddock as our maps misdirected us, and Scott gladly came to collect us (and tow us out) and bring us back to the campsite! Power was out from recent storms so we were very lucky to have his assistance. He also took us in the morning to feed the salmon and trout in his beautiful giant pond! Was an absolutely incredible time. So grateful to have such helpful people around! Thanks heaps Scott :)
