Camp and fish just a stonesthrow from one of Tasmania's most stunning natural landscapes, Cradle Mountain. Here you'll find nature at its best, just 10 minutes drive from the Cradle Mountain Visitors centre, the perfect base for discovering this magical area.
Our campsites are on scenic, levelled areas overlooking the large dam and bushland, with grassed areas ideal for tents and camper-vans, and a portaloo a short walk away. The block is a natural timber and grassland block, with devils, quolls and wombats also residing here.
There is a lovely walking track around the dams periphery. Feed fish from the edge, spot platypus frolicking about, and keep your eye out for Peacocks wandering the property too. Whilst you are welcome to bring your dog with you, please ensure they don't harass the wildlife.
A keen fisher? Throw a line in at our other dam and catch your dinner! Nothing beats fresh fish, that you caught yourself, cooked on a campfire.

Scott is so friendly and happy to share his knowledge about the area but not intrusive at all. We really enjoyed feeding the fish in the dam and walking around after. The whole area is beautifully landscaped. The site is super clean. Would definitely go back again.
It was an beautiful spot close to cradle mountain that also allowed dogs.
Scott was an excellent host, very friendly and helpful.
The added bonus was been able to catch a Rainbow trout during our stay.
Great location close to Cradle Mountain. Perfect for pitching a tent and having access to a clean portable toilet! Also some extras available to purchase if you needed any snacks!
One of the most impressive camp/RV grounds with much to offer. We had a camperwagon so did not need the tent sites. Only 15 minutes to cradle mountain made the trip to and from very easy. Scott is very friendly and a great host and made our stay an experience from feeding fish to canoeing. There appears to be more activities in the works. Very much recommended. The campfire was also very cosy and well supplied. Thank you Scott.

Such a lovely campground! Good flat spaces with gorgeous views of the bush and dam. Scott was lovely and greeted me on arrival to give a run down of the site. So close to Cradle Mountain which was helpful after a long day of walking. Also, cleanest and nicest portaloo I’ve ever seen!!

We loved our stay at Scott’s camping, it was picturesque and felt like fairy tale place. Tent sites are flat and grassy just next to the fishery pond. There are fire pits for your use and you can buy a pack of fire wood. Toilet was a portaloo but a fancy one, which was a nice surprise. In The Morning you can go with Scott and feed his fish and he will happily tell you everything about them. We enjoyed slow breakfast sitting by a table and watching birds before heading to explore Cradle mountain. Can't wait to be back.
The best spot near cradle mountain to camp or caravan!!!! So easy to find. The moment we arrived Scott greeted us and showed us great spots on the property. Everything was SO clean and fresh. It was private and there were lots of options for where to pitch our swag. They had a porta loo which was the cleanest porta loo I’d ever used (lol). We bought extra fire wood and Scott delivered it to us! He gives you portable fire pits so you have more selection on where to put it when setting up your site. The sites overlook the most beautiful land with a lake and grass lands below. A little walking trail too and you can feed the trout and salmon in the dam below!
We will be back!!
