Had the best experience at Base Camp Tasmania. We were busy hiking all day and arrive when it was dark. It was very easy to find and Graham was very helpful and got us settled even when it was dark and rainy outside. All of the amenities were spot on and it was nice and cozy in the camp kitchen. And of course, the friendly traveller who were staying there were great to chat with. Wish we could have stayed longer. It’s a great base camp for the South West.

Graham was such a lovely and enthusiastic host. The site is on a bushy property with good shared facilities and we used it as a base to do day walks in the nearby Mt Field National Park. We camped in a campervan - Graham quite rightly advised that it’s best to arrive in daylight as the site is sloping and it will make it easier to position the van well. We would definitely stay again.

We absolutely loved our stay with Graham! He was super accomodating and the place was incredibly clean and tidy. All of it was eco friendly too! He even put the heaters on for us as before we arrived as he knew we’d been out on a long hike in the rain. Would 10/10 recommend this to anyone wanting a nature retreat in a beautiful landscape.
