Enjoy the private back acre of our 2-acre parcel. RV parking is separated from the main house by a barn and Morton building. Set up camp overlooking what used to be a grassy yard, but is now a walkable wildflower meadow. Enjoy the meadow paths and entire property's yard. Pets are welcome, but must be leashed at all times - our dog is friendly, but will also be leashed when outside. The house and barn were built in the late 1800s and are currently being restored. There will be no construction activity during your stay, but there may be assorted projects in process visible near buildings. Please do not enter buildings unless accompanied by a property owner. Many restaurants, breweries, distilleries and parks are just minutes away in Bellefonte! When visiting them, we recommend going straight out of our driveway onto Clemens instead of turning right onto Valentine Hill. Valentine has tight turns that are a challenge to navigate in an RV or with a trailer.

Little Mahanoy Creek Campground

35mi from Ravensburg State Park · 5 sites · Tents, Lodging · Herndon, PA
There are 3 campsites located in the gap of the little Mahanoy Mountain and line Mountain range along the little Mahanoy creek. All four campsites have creek access and come with picnic table garbage can and fire ring and Firewood is usually available. There are two Porta potty‘s one located at each end of the sites. There are trails for hiking which extends along an abandoned railroad bed and also up into State game lands and into the deep woods. The hiking in the woods is on an incline. But the hiking on the railroad bed is pretty unintense. There is parking at each site. The sites are spread out along the creek bed ranging from more of a rustic primitive tent camping on site 4 to an open site on site 1.

39mi from Ravensburg State Park · 3 sites · Tents, RVs · Bloomsburg, PA
Greene Kitchen Farm has been farmed by the Greene family since 2013.  If you step back in time a few owners, the Kitchen family with 8 boys and a girl farmed the land that surrounds the little tributary to Montour Run.  The Greenes have been pasturing the majority of the land in nature's image with an eye toward biomimicry and an agro-forestal, savannah landscape.  The herbivores pulse through the landscape with flocks of birds following them.   Since the livestock have been fenced out of the creek, a little jewel of a wildlife refuge traverses the farm from northwest to southeast.  This riparian zones shades the creek, protects the water quality, and provides great habitat for coyotes, minks, eagles, white-tailed deer, groundhogs, hawks, squirrels, woodcock, and a variety of songbirds.  Greene Kitchen Farm camp sites are situated on this varied section of brook.      Learn more about this land:Bring your tent or park your pop-up along the spring at Greene Kitchen Farm. Livestock will be fenced in just in view, and the birds will serve as your alarm clock. Your site will be the last stop on a mowed path through the hollow nestled between the spring and the woods.

Overview

About

A melodious getaway, soundtracked by the parks whispering creeks, Ravensburg State Park is sure to satiate your inner yearning for serenity. Situated within the leafy confines of the carved gorges near Nippenose Mountain, Ravensburg isn’t just a well-orchestrated ensemble of abiotic melodies―it’s a double, triple threat too. Aside from the mile of well-manicured, pristine hiking trails, the area’s boasting a slew of geological milestones―pun intended. Overlooking the expansive Tiadaghton State Forest, the park’s crowned by the colossal, scaling sandstones, known collectively as the Castle Rocks. Veiled by the surrounding vegetation, these sedimentary rock formations line the Midstate Trail where they envelop the horizon with their insular-like stature. And, backdropped by a starlit sky, you’ll be hard pressed to find that a flattering filter―because that image won’t need one.
