We are a small 50 acre ranch in the panhandle of Florida. Most of our property is pasture. Our mile-long driveway is lined with Oak Trees. We also have a few acres of Mayhaw trees in a seasonal pond. We raise Miniature Tennessee Fainting Goats to sell as family pets. We pasture a half dozen sheep for wool, live with several Peafowl for beauty and entertainment, and a couple dozen Guinee Fowl for pest control and more entertainment. A hundred and twenty-five chickens supply us with plenty of eggs. A dozen ducks offer up a few eggs a day as well. You can pet the goats and Baboy, our Potbellied pig. Walking in the pastures offers a glimpse at the local variety of flowers, birds, and insect life. Stay away from the dozen bee hives we watch over. This is a very quiet and welcoming place. We do have three Great Pyrenees gradian dogs roaming the property at night. They are mostly quiet but can occasionally spend a bit of the night barking and chasing predictors. Coyotes, foxes, and raccoons are better just off the property. Hang out, relax, read, and feed the goats. Monticello has some great restaurants, antique shops, a well-equipped sporting goods store, and a hardware store. If you are a cyclist, there are hundreds of miles of clay roads through the North Florida and South Georgia countryside. There are very few cars and lots of views. We have some routes to share. The clear-water spring-fed Wacissa River is nearby. Bring your own canoe or kayak, or rent one from one of the businesses at the head of the river. The Aucilla River is also nearby. This is really a wonderful spot! If you need a place to unwind, relax and heal this is the perfect spot for it! I spent 5 nights here by myself car camping in tent spot 1 and it really did wonders for my well being! It's so peaceful and quiet, nothing but fresh country breeze and some cows walking by once in a while I am so glad and grateful I found it. I really needed it. I wish I could've stayed longer! 💯🏕️

My tent site on Dover's land was easy to find and I felt safe. The bath house is very roomy with a big sink, clean shower and toilet, well placed hooks to hang towels and clothes and a big, comfortable bench. It was fun walking up to cows in the field and one very curious calf.

We absolutely love camping at Tony's place, we stayed an extra day as well! A must visit location! This was our second time at The Fruit Factory and we loved it even more than the first time. Very tranquil environment, our 4 German Shepherds loved running through the orchards and playing in the pond. We loved sitting by the fire at night. We went to Thomasville at Tony's invitation for First Friday's... a local outdoor event with live music, restaurants, food trucks and a great time! So much fun had this past week! Will definitely be back!

We are a small 50 acre ranch in the panhandle of Florida. Most of our property is pasture. Our mile-long driveway is lined with Oak Trees. We also have a few acres of Mayhaw trees in a seasonal pond. We raise Miniature Tennessee Fainting Goats to sell as family pets. We pasture a half dozen sheep for wool, live with several Peafowl for beauty and entertainment, and a couple dozen Guinee Fowl for pest control and more entertainment. A hundred and twenty-five chickens supply us with plenty of eggs. A dozen ducks offer up a few eggs a day as well. You can pet the goats and Baboy, our Potbellied pig. Walking in the pastures offers a glimpse at the local variety of flowers, birds, and insect life. Stay away from the dozen bee hives we watch over. This is a very quiet and welcoming place. We do have three Great Pyrenees gradian dogs roaming the property at night. They are mostly quiet but can occasionally spend a bit of the night barking and chasing predictors. Coyotes, foxes, and raccoons are better just off the property. Hang out, relax, read, and feed the goats. Monticello has some great restaurants, antique shops, a well-equipped sporting goods store, and a hardware store. If you are a cyclist, there are hundreds of miles of clay roads through the North Florida and South Georgia countryside. There are very few cars and lots of views. We have some routes to share. The clear-water spring-fed Wacissa River is nearby. Bring your own canoe or kayak, or rent one from one of the businesses at the head of the river. The Aucilla River is also nearby. The 375-acre Lake Reed Bingham is the star attraction at Reed Bingham State Park. Visitors can explore the water lily and tupelo tree-lined lake by boat, by renting a canoe or kayak, or by fishing for bass, crappie, catfish, and bream. However you choose to explore, you’ll likely spot wildlife along the way, such as bald eagles, tortoises, and alligators. Back on land, seven miles of walking and biking trails lead through the park’s diverse ecosystems, from bald cypress swamp to sand hills and a pitcher plant bog. Reed Bingham State Park Campground serves tent and RV campers, while one primitive, paddle-in island campsite sleeps up to 30 people.

Tips for snagging a campsite

  1. Reservations can be made at the Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites website or by phone.
  2. Booking in advance is strongly recommended. Reservations can be made 13 months ahead of time.
  3. Campsites that have not been reserved in advance are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

When to go

Reed Bingham State Park is open year-round, and while most visitors arrive in summer, there’s plenty of appeal throughout the year. Boating and paddling are popular in the hot summer season, while the cooler temperatures of fall are ideal for hiking and biking. In winter, birdwatchers can see nesting bald eagles as well as thousands of migrating black vultures and turkey vultures.

  • Boat, canoe, kayak, bicycle, and fishing gear rentals are available in the park.
  • For supplies, stop at the Walmart in Adel, a 10-minute drive away.
