Visit us in The City of Oral, SD!

Offering a dry RV spot for a self-contained vehicle, RV, van, or what have you, regardless of age or style), its a dry camping spot. Dumping and trash collection is at the lake aout (10 miles from) at Angostura Recreation Area. We are just starting out so come and join us to build a new community at this awesome country location, with lots of wild life and nature! The Angostura Recreation Area, South Dakota  (10 miles from house) is offering an awesome range of recreational opportunities (at the lake, NOT at this campsite); boating, bike lanes, swimming beaches, fishing and more, at an affordable annual/day use vehicle pass rate. Groceries, purified water, hospitals/medicine are available in the City of Hot Springs ( 17 mls away). There are restaurants (Angostura Den and Casino 8 mls,), and a gas station  (12 mls), groceries (17mls). We have non-potable water (not for drinking) when pump is on. 

Fires (in a barrel to burn garbage) may be allowed with permission, when weather is permitting (however, you cannot leave your garbage behind no matter what, as there is NO trash collection here). Be sure to bring everything you will need; drinking water, medicine, food, as there are no stores here.

Pets OK under owners' supervision and control at all times.  We may have Non-Drinkable well water (in your own portable containers, with advanced notice) and no guarantees, as we are just setting up. but all amenities are available at the lake or at the  truck stop nearby.

Angostura Recreation Area SD,  is well-marked with large signs, West from Hw 18/368 intersection, (they have two entrances though).

There is paved road from Hy 18/385/79 ( Chadron NE to Rapid City SD), going East all the way to 1st Street, Oral, SD, marked by a sign. In Oral, take Goodman Road (turn at the Post Office) into Goodman Rd, and follow it to 2nd Street. Please note the long distances, as supplies are far away from here, so make sure you bring all you may need for the night. Chadron has a Walmart on HWY 385, about an hour away, a good place to get groceries and drinking water if you are driving from the South. Also, Nebraska has no tax on groceries (here its about 4%). :)
