Our 1880's barn has recently been restored and we are continuing to make improvements to our homestead. We allow up to 6 camping groups at the same time but we have plenty of ground so people can keep their safe distances at all times. The portable toilet is sanitized several times per day. Peaceful and beautiful spot to stay! Nancy is a wonderful host and we really loved chatting with her and learning about the farm. Lots of animals to meet, we got fresh eggs, honey and salsa! Would love to stay again.
Camping at the Down to Earth Farm was so much fun! Very peaceful and hosts Nancy and Jeff are very accommodating.
We were provided water and 30 amp service. We bought fresh eggs and honey but were given fresh red potatoes. onions, and a delicious melon. Their location is covenient to the town of Lennox. We highly recommend!
Peaceful farm oasis
Got in very late but site was easy to access. Nancy was great, very quick to respond to questions and instructions for setting up. The farm is quiet and charming, not far off the highway but a lovely peaceful place for the night. We were greeted by some ducks grazing late at night and the chickens in the morning. Would absolutely stay again. Thanks Nancy!
Lovely country get away
This was a beautiful spot to stay for a couple of nights driving through. Nancy and Jeff (Geoff?) are friendly, gracious hosts. Their pet cats, dogs, pigs, chickens, goats and mini horse are lovely and are part of the wonderful memories we have. We even met Pearl the baby dear that they rescued and who now hangs around.
This was our third stay at The Good Earth and we will be back! Nancy and Jeff are fantastic hosts! We have taken their farm tour four times. It is so much fun feeding the animals and hearing stories about them. The farm is beautiful and so well maintained. Each time we come we see improvements and small touches that add to the experience. They have built a deck on the back of their barn that is a great place to relax. It’s a treat to be able to have electric hook up in a farm stay. They also have picnic tables and chairs set up. It is so easy to get settled in. They are such nice people. I would recommend their farm to anyone.
Great spot on beautiful sd farm!
This is such a great hipcamp spot. This was our second time here. It’s a perfect stop on a long road trip. We could plug in our RV right next to their beautifully restored barn. The kids love visiting with the rescue farm animals. Jeff is an excellent, friendly, welcoming host. The grounds are beautiful and we even got to dig up fresh potatoes for breakfast. We could fill up our fresh water tank with their hose. I definitely recommend this spot over bigger campgrounds.
Couldn’t be nicer!
This was our first Hipcamp experience, and we could not have asked for more. Daughter was CAPTIVATED by the animals. Happened to be there at the right time of year and they even let her harvest some of her own potato’s and onions (your results may vary ;-)
Thanks for all your hospitality!
