We loved camping in our travel trailer at Opulent Acres. The host, Heath, was very accomodating and a great host. The bath house and common area were a nice reprieve after being on the road for over a week. We greatly enjoyed our stay!
Black Hills Tent and RV camp has many well-spaced camp sites on wooded lots. The host was very helpful, communicative, and gave us a tour of the property in his UTV. Campers share a nice, clean lounge with tv, strong wifi, wd, kitchen, cooking gear, and farm products in the refrigerator. I appreciated the spacious, clean bathrooms with fresh white towels. We stayed in site 7 and enjoyed the birds as they settled in the trees for the night. In the morning I enjoyed a pleasant 3-mile walk on the nearby gravel road. Thanks to Heath and his family for a great stay!

Other campsite hosts should visit Opulent Acres and take notes â this is how itâs done! Shannon and Heath are fantastic hosts. Upon arriving, I was greeted so warmly, it felt like we were old friends already. The campsite is nice, and the amenities they provide are a nice bonus. The common room is well equipped, and sparkling clean. I was happy to see a nicely decorated (and clean!) bathroom. They have food products from their animals, and even offered to take people around to see the animals. Canât recommend highly enough!
Such a great time at Opulent Acres. The hosts were wonderful and friendly, the shared spaces were extremely well kept and glamperous. The sites were nicely spaced out and beautiful. Itâs a short hike to the bathrooms and shared building, but totally doable. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting, feeding and milking the animals.
This is in a great place to checkout much of the southern part of the Black Hills, moderate drive to sightsee. Thank you Heath!

We had a great week camping at Heath and Shannonâs camp with our motorhome! It was quiet and peaceful with very nice bathrooms all in a wooded setting. Bonus - we are traveling home with dandelion jelly, goat milk, and lamb chops from their farm!
Heath and Shannon are fabulous hosts! They have a wonderful group of animals; horses, llamas, alpaca, goats, sheep, etc. Our site had a mix of sun and shade which was perfect. The community center is bright and clean with a TV. Sitting areas. Kitchen, and laundry. We didn't use the kitchen for cooking but several others did. Very appreciative of what the facility offers.
They raise Royal White sheep. They graciously made up some lamb meat. It was delicious and just melted in your mouth. They explained that the Royal White breed are like the Cadillac of sheep so you get a much better flavor!
They also are a 501c for animals and have rescued a mini horse that had been neglected. They are doing great things.
We will definitely be back and highly recommend for everyone to stay there.
We loved our stay at Opulent Acres. Heath and Shannon were amazing hosts. They provided us with great info about local spots and offered farm to table food options. Goat cheese was excellent. Excited to try the lamb. It was wonderful to wake up each morning and interact with the animals. Lots of educational opportunities about the animals on the ranch. Facilities were top notch. And, while a little off the beaten path, it was still convenient to Custer State Park, Wind Cave, and Hot Springs. Was a great home base for a few days of exploring. Would definitely go back.

This is by far best camping experience I had. Actually I would call it camping retreat. Heat and Shannon are impeccable hosts, camping sites are amazing and attention to detail in common areas are simply stunning. 10 out of 10.
Heath and Shannon were very welcoming. We loved Heath's tour of the property / their animals on the UTV. Great communication throughout. Heath went out of his way to do a bon fire for us and was super friendly (& tolerantđ€Ș) with our kiddos! Very nice facilities and amenities for our glamping experience.
