Pitch your tent or park your camper van at our secluded campsite with direct access to the Clemson Experimental Forest trail system. This campsite, accessed by a short, unpaved road, sits within hardwoods overlooking steep forested hillsides and a small woodland pond. Several tent spots are available, and there is a pull-in spot for a camper van. The site includes a large stone fire pit, a picnic table, a charcoal grill, and a composting toilet. You may gather fallen wood for fires or split firewood is available for purchase if needed. City water is available from a spigot at our house, or you may filter water from the spring-fed pond below the campsite.
This site gives you direct, private access to 40 miles of biking, hiking, and equestrian trails in the Clemson Experimental Forest. Don’t hesitate to reach out to your hosts (avid mountain bikers and trail runners themselves) if you want tips on the best trails for your adventure. Don’t miss the opportunity to see Wildcat Falls, only a 1.5-mile hike away.
You may also make yourself at home and explore our own 12+ acre homestead, including wooded trails, bamboo grove, creek, small orchard, garden, and chickens. Homestead products available for purchase include firewood, eggs, and produce seasonally.
Please note that this campsite is on a small family homestead that includes chickens and a large, gentle livestock guardian dog. Ursa guards our free-range flock and our free-range kids from predators of all kinds. She loves our campers and will likely hang out with you at the campsite, particularly if you have young kids, whom she adores. She is inside to sleep from about 9:30 pm-7 am to provide for a quieter night, but otherwise, she has free range of the property.
The town of Clemson and Clemson University are a 10-minute drive, giving easy access to shopping, restaurants, and sporting events (Go Tigers!). The small towns of Central and Six Mile are also both less than 10 minutes away. If lakes are your thing, access points to Lakes Hartwell and Keowee are minutes away. For a quieter experience, drive a bit further to Lake Jocassee.

Just a peaceful spot in the woods away from it all. Trails on property. Natural forest pond with frogs. We loved it. The golden retriever was like a spirit guide. Off to the side giving off good vibes
Endless Forest was great little place to stay, very private and quiet, the sencery was amazing and Hundson is a super friendly guy. I would recommend this campsite to anyone and I would definitely stay here again!!!
Hudson & Heather's camp site was awesome and just as advertised.T hey are wonderfully responsive hosts. We loved having visits from Ursa, the dog! You can hear the sounds of chickens, children playing, and sounds of the forest - all wonderful stuff. We hiked into the Clemson Experimental Forest from their property and had a great hike. We definitely plan to stay there again for more hiking.
We enjoyed our stay at Endless Forest! It was a great spot for us with our young children. We recommend the hike from the campsite to Wildcat Falls.
Heather, Hudson, and their kids were very friendly and always quick to respond if we had any questions.

Just a short, scenic drive from Clemson University, and Twelve Mile Recreation Area, Wild Cat Outpost is perfectly situated for relaxation or adventure.
Peaceful and enjoyable describes our stay at Wild Cat Outpost. Our kind hosts, Heather and Hudson warmly welcomed my husband and I upon our late, nighttime arrival, and made us feel right at home.
During our short stay at Wild Cat Outpost, we camped in the quiet seclusion of the forest. The camping plot was well-maintained and offered acres of wooded privacy. Equipped with a fire ring, outdoor charcoal grill, and exceptionally clean outhouse, this Hipcamp offered everything my husband and I could possibly need for an enjoyable camping experience.
The next morning, after having had a quiet night’s sleep in our tent, my husband and I were ready to explore the grounds of Wild Cat Outpost.
Heather, and her lovely family, generously walked us around the property. They showed us their garden, chickens, and the elaborate and expansive Clemson trail system directly accessible from their property. If you enjoy walking in the woods, or trail-running, this place is for you!
Thank you for sharing your Hipcamp with us, Heather and Hudson. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at Wild Cat Outpost, and deeply appreciate your genuine hospitality.

Quiet, peaceful place to get away for a weekend. The trails nearby (hike from the site) were perfect to get further into the woods. We enjoyed sitting by the fire, and relaxing.
Endless Forest was just that! Trees everywhere, all kinds of hiking trails was an added bonus. Heather was a sweetheart and made sure I had everything I needed both days. And their beautiful dog ursa came down to visit quite a bit. She is a very friendly dog and wants to protect her property. There is plenty of firewood on the ground if you wanna gather it yourself, and they also sell split firewood. The site itself is very private, you can see the house from the campsite but that is not a problem. Only complaint would be the site is not real level, if that doesn’t bother you then this is a place for you!
Had a lovely stay here. We loved the family doggo who would visit us often. She was super sweet.
Hudson was a great host and was very responsive to any questions we had. The campsite was beautiful.
The location was awesome and secluded, the owners were very helpful and responsive and we’d be happy to come back if we’re ever in the area!
