With touches of modern amenities, our rural farm provides a perfect event destination suited to your needs. Wooded trails, picturesque silos, rolling pastures lined with old oak trees and sunsets mirrored on our 10-acre pond will bring your camping dreams to life at Wild Hope Farm. Located an easy 45-minute drive south of Charlotte, Wild Hope Farm is nestled in the countryside of Chester, South Carolina. Our camping spaces are located a short distance away from our farming operation where we use sustainable and organic farming practices to grow delicious vegetables, free-range eggs and beautiful flowers. Please note the firewood is not covered and the composting toilet is a short walk (4 mins) from the campsite.

We look forward to sharing our farm with you!

This is the second time we've camped at Wild Hope Farm and it was just as great as the first stay! Very quiet and relaxing. We'll be back!

We had an amazing time camping at Wild Hope Farm. The views were amazing, the fish were a plenty and we could not have asked for a better camping trip. Our kids enjoyed fishing, playing in the dock, swimming, swinging on the swing and eating s’mores at the fire pit. It was a lovely experience.

The site was more than we expected. It was clean and safe and definitely kids friendly and the canoe was an extra bonus. The boys fished and got a blue gill. Overall, exceeded our expectations. Katherine was very prompt on her responses, greatly appreciate it.

Communication: 8
Quick and to the point.

Directions/Ease of Arrival: 9
Easy, but you might miss it if you're coming at night.

Privacy: 8
If other campers show up then it's not as private as if you are alone. There's no separation between sites unless you camp in one of the Yurts.

Friendliness: 6
No one was there to greet us even though all the other comments said that they were greeted. And then a gentleman came on a cart on his way to his yurt. He was not friendly at all. He did tell us that the bathroom was across the pond on the other side. Which was helpful. I understand it's a working farm but hipcamp is not a set-and-forget type service unless you're doing primitive camping.

Amenities: 7
The scenery was top notch but having to walk to the bathroom at night was not that great. They have a water hook up in the middle of camp and electric hook up which is really nice.

Cleanliness: 8
Clean yes, however, they have a giant bonfire size fire pit that was full of wood that I had to remove in order to use it as a small fire pit. For the price we paid I expect all that wood to not be wet and to not be all in the fire pit at once. it would have been nice to have it stacked off to the side and dry.

Low Noise Pollution: 4
Dogs barking, gunshots, TRAINS!! TRAINS!!

Low Light Pollution: 9
The stars were amazing. In the moonlight on upon was great.

Cost to Value: 4
For $90 to $100 a night is not worth it for us. We are used to paying anywhere from $20 to $30 a night and we've gotten much better amenities.

Recommend To Others: 3
The price needs to come down dramatically unless they get an actual bathroom nearby. For that price I expect a real bathroom. If this was a primitive camp I would expect a lot less but since this is not I do expect quite a bit more especially for that price.

Staying here was absolutely wonderful. The area was very private, although there were two other campers there when we were. We enjoyed sitting out on the dock to fish and took a walk around the boardwalk surrounding the pond. The fire pit was HUGE and had a great set up for sitting around the campfire. The sunrise over the pond was breath taking. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a serene weekend getaway.

Beautiful area! We appreciated the use of the canoes and paddle boards to explore the area. We loved the well kept hiking trail and boardwalk around the water. Wonderful little touches including the rope swing, hammock, firewood, and multiple picnic tables. Picturesque views at all times especially sunset and sunrise!

We had great companions but know that if you have another party the same evening you do share a communal fire pit (it HUGE). There is not a grate to cook on so bring one if planning on cooking directly over the fire. We loved the place and can’t wait to return! Thank you for sharing your oasis with us!

First off, this place is AMAZING! From the moment you get on the property is is just stunning, it looks better than the photos. There were plenty of spaces to set up camp, and the whole property was very well maintained. Katherine was more than accommodating and helpful, ensuring that I knew were everything was and that i was ok. I definitely plan on staying here again. Word of caution though, if you like fishing you will never want to leave!
