Savanna Creek Farm

Come camp on the backside of a 55 acre plot of land. About 22 acres are pasture surrounded by woods which backs up to the Savanna Creek. This can be your base camp for exploring the area in and around the Francis Marion National Forest. Within a 20-30 minute drive from camp is Lake Moultrie (boating, fishing), historic Mepkin Abbey. Biggin Church Ruins and graveyard dating back to the 1700s. Plenty of kayaking, fishing and paddling on the Santee River or Cooper River, the Santee is just minutes away, the Cooper is about 15 minutes away. Jericho Horse trail for riders. Wambaw Cycle trail for dirt bikes and ATVs. Historic downtown Charleston is about a solid hour drive away. Myrtle Beach is about a 90 minute drive away. McClellanville, a small fishing village is 30 minutes away. You might get visited by some neighbors dogs in the evening/night, but they have all proven to be friendly. Plan accordingly if you are bringing any pets. Right or wrong, this is normal for the country. There is plenty of wood from fallen trees on the property, so please do not cut or damage live trees. Trash, take it with you, please be respectful of this beautiful little piece of land. Bring mosquito spray, we also have yellow biting flies. Bears and Bobcats are in the National Forest but they are a very rare sight. Please enjoy.
