Not only did Alex communicate super well (in-detail, quick responses, friendly, etc.), but he was also very accommodating when I had to unexpectedly leave shortly after arriving and was very kind and worked with me! So kind and very lenient.

Though I was only there shortly, the land was beautiful. Shack was well-made, blocked wind, etc. Definitely bring a higher up car that can handle dirt/mud to get there. So very thankful for such a great find & host.

My husband and I stayed at the open-air cabin with our dogs. We put our air mattress on the floor and slept there. I was a little worried about bugs, but there were hardly any bugs. There is a little couch in the cabin that our dogs liked. There is a small table (perfect for cards) and plenty of chairs. There is a larger picnic table by the fire pit and a kitchen area with a wood fire stove, pots and pans, cooking oil, and cooking utensils. There is a well-maintained outhouse near the cabin. The fishing pond is very cute and our dogs loved swimming in it. There is also a small paddle boat, a fishing pole, and tackle box. Alex is very responsive and recommended 521 Bbq to us, which is delicious, affordable, and dog friendly!

Our campout was fantastic. The site was perfect for a secluded getaway to just rest and relax. Alex was very easy to deal with and we definitely plan to camp there many times in the future.

What a gem, beautiful as is with endless potential. Only an hour away from my home was a great weekend getaway, I would consider living here if it was possible.

Barebones glamping. The kitchen area came with plenty of pots and pans which was nice, and the fire pit and shack kept us warm.

Alex was an amazing host, very responsive and helpful!

Cool place but needs some real work. It’s not too private. Houses and trailers nearby. Lots of construction debris and old junk. The potty needs some attention. Or bring your own. CONSTANT Gunshots from about 4pm until 10pm at house next to site. I literally couldn’t get much conversation in due to the loud gunfire. We stayed in the open air cabin and it was nice temp wise- Mid December 50’s at night. I was expecting more of clean “undisturbed” surroundings. A day of some guys and a pickup truck could do wonders for this place. Once we adjusted our expectations we had a blast. We left it better than we found it. Pretty pond and view from porch. I wouldn’t recommend small children due to the amount of junk around site: old rusty farm equipment and general debris. There are some great Hipcamp’s out there - this one just needs some basic upkeep.
