This place is absolutely beautiful I hate that it rained me out so I was only able to stay one of the 2 nights planned.. It was awesome though & I definitely want to come back when I’m able to. Host Tyler was really nice & welcoming!
The site is lovely and quiet. We camped by the pond and the fall colors really hit the spot. When we arrived, Tyler was very pleasant and said to set up wherever we want, and pointed to the spots next to the pond as well as indicated that past the pond was a clearing in the woods that people also like to camp in. He also said to let him know if anything needed to be leveled and offered us firewood. We did not get a tour of the property or a guide to our spot like the description indicated.
On the third day it rained the entire day, so we left the site and drove around looking at the fall foliage. When we returned to the spot we had been parked on it looked ok, and our error, we did not get out and walk on the dirt. When we drove on it our van started to slide, so we attempted to back out, and unfortunately got stuck. I texted Tyler to asked if he had a way to pull us out. His response was "maybe, be back soon". In the meantime, my husband walked up to the barn, and one of the ranch hands came down and pulled us out with his pickup. I messaged Tyler back to let him know. A few minutes later he messaged me again and was basically yelling at us. "That road and damn better not be torn up, do y'all not have 4x4" (his listing does not indicate that 4x4 is ever necessary) "we have 15k tied up in fixing that road and I can't afford to fix it again, I hope y'all didn't attempt to drive on the dam of the pond" (no obvious dam, was never told there was a dam, or that there was a spot we shouldn't drive on). We asked if he could clarify where the damn was, because we didn't want to be where he didn't want us and explained that we had been attempting to park right where we had been for 2 days. He replied, "at this point it's too late and dark to try to move much, just wherever you can park will have to work” That was the last we heard from him. He never clarified where the dam was - we guessed it was the grass road/path that led to the clearing in the woods he had pointed out on day one, that people like to camp in. But if you can camp there, then you have to drive on the dam so... Anyway, we left the following morning with no damage to anything, a few tire tracks in the mud not near where we think the dam was. If no rain is in the forecast, it's a nice place. Unfortunately, since we didn't get the tour, we didn't know where to find the creek etc. that other people have commented on, our dogs would have loved that. The pond is nice, the horses are beautiful. Oh, and it's 38-44 minutes from the property to Falls Park in Greenville depending on traffic. I specifically asked this question before booking and was told 25 minutes.

Tyler was an amazing host. He was very polite and hospitable. He explained where everything was and said if we needed anything to feel free to contact him. There were some other people that were working on the property as well and they were also very hospitable and friendly. I would highly recommend coming to this location.
A beautiful visit. The campsite was secluded, not far from town. I loved getting in the river and seeing the horses. Tyler was very helpful.
Great farm spot!! Beautiful property, got to pet the horses and plenty of remote camping spots available. Hosts and staff all super helpful! Would definitely stay here again.
Tyler and his wife were amazing. We spent time playing down by the creek and they supplied us with firewood, we booked last minute and they
were very accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed. My daughter enjoyed the pony and hilarious goat. We will be back. :)
This was my first experience with hip camp and Tyler C.’s ranch. This was an amazing experience and I was so welcomed by the friendly host. I was at ease with the surroundings and all of the amenities. I took the row boat out on the pond, enjoyed beautiful sunsets, played and bathed in the creek. The creek was quite the attraction to me. You can walk out on the rocks, sunbathe, play in the water and relax. The water was clean and refreshing to take a bath! There were rafts to float around and it was so peaceful. I loved waking up to hear the sounds in nature and seeing the beautiful horses. There is a bathroom available, trails and just an overall beautiful view. I will be back.
Had a great time! He is working on setting up more places to camp, it's a work in progress, and he has great ideas. The one ideal spot had no shade so we opted for a spot that was a little more uneven so we would have some shade. Everyone was very friendly! The horses were beautiful although they said they don't have horses available for riding right now. Bathroom at the barn is a plus! Beautiful trails to walk and the stream and lake are great places to cool off on a hot day. Plenty of firewood around to chop and use. Dollar General close by in case you forget anything. He is off to a great start and look forward to going back.
