This rustic yet modern retreat environment offers guests the opportunity to relax, be still and soak up the magic of the property while being minutes from Landrum, Tryon, TIEC, FENCE, hiking, and local restaurants. The Belle tent is furnished with a comfy queen bed, a fan for your comfort, coffee and tea for an enjoyable morning, indoor lighting, a private bathhouse with a composting toilet and shower with instant hot water. Enjoy the community fire pit, you just never know who you will meet! It is strongly encouraged to take a walk and visit different parts of the farm. This property has so many wonderful things to experience.

I give my guests space but am available when needed

I live in the main house on the farm. I am happy to help in anyway possible to make your stay as enjoyable as I can. I sometimes like to attend community fires at the fire pit and find out how your day has been. This is a working farm so I wear many hats. I am unavailable from 6:30am-8:30am and again from 5:30pm-8:00pm as I am tending to animals during those times. If I am going to be off the farm for an extended period of time I am always reachable via text message or through the app.

Upon arrival, come down the gravel drive and keep left at the Y. Follow the gravel road to the left and you will drive between the barn and the garden. Just past the barn please park in the gravel parking area. Do not drive into the woods. Your tent will be down the path in front of you and to the right. If you require help with your bags you must arrange that with me ahead of time so I can meet you with Gertie the golf cart. Entering and staying in the tent:There are zippers to open the front flap of the tent. Simply roll up the flap and tie it off, then unzip the screen to enter. Always zip the screen behind you, this will keep out any unwanted creepy crawlers. Please take your shoes off before entering the tent or place them on the shoe tray just inside the front opening. To expose the windows screens simply unzip and roll the side flaps up and tie them off. When leaving the tent for the day or at the end of your stay please always zip all flaps closed unless there is 0% chance of rain. This will ensure your belongings stay dry. The composting toilet: Open lid, sit down, do your business, scoop enough saw dust into the bucket to cover you business, close the lid. You will see a separate white plastic piece when you open the lid, this catches the pee. Please do your best to not pee in the bucket. This helps dramatically with the composting process. The Shower: Walk around back of the bathhouse, turn the knob on the propane canister to open, go into the shower and select temperature and water flow. On the shower head there is a button marked stop, depress that to get the water to come out. When done, push the stop button again to shut the water off. go around back again and close the valve on the propane tank. Anytime you leave the toilet or shower please latch the doors from the outside to prevent the wind from grabbing them and swinging them open.
