I can't tell you how many people have said we're surprised by the country location how safe, secluded and peaceful it is all while being convenient to so much. There's a creek along one side. We're near the end of the dead end street with only 3 house past us so there's very little traffic. We see deer most days, see & hear Red Shouldered, Broad Winged Hawk, and Barred owls

**Generators - whisper quiet and on-board only. Quiet hours 8pm-8am**
This site is NOT suitable for large or heavy rigs. It can become soft when it rains a lot. If you have a large and/or heavy rig or want hook ups please reserve Site 1. This site is down the hill in the shade all day (Airstream) or backed in to pocket spot in the woods (Class C). If you'd like to tent camp you need to be self contained like a RV, bring your own toilet. You can NOT go on the property.
Pets - Please clean up after your pet. I clean my yard daily but sometimes doggie landmines get missed. If you have a problem with the possibility of coming across one please do not reserve a site with me. I have a gray mailbox mounted vertically with flags for guests to mark them and any other hazards they find. Thank you for understanding. Our Border Collie is 8 years old is well behaved and does well with other dogs. At first PLEASE DO NOT throw whatever he brings you. We need to limit the amount of running he does so he doesn't hurt himself again. He quickly becomes a nuisance by putting it underfoot and being in the way. Cats that stay inside are ok. Please don't mind if he growls at your cat, he's never meet one. We think he thinks they're squirrels and he thinks it's his job to keep squirrels out of the yard.
Local information - We have an information mailbox that has tons of local flyers, brochures, things to do magazines, state maps and such. You can keep anything that there is more than one of. If you go somewhere please grab a flyer and leave it in the box for future guests. There's also a composition/guest book to sign and/or give reviews/recommendations of places you've been. Within a few miles there are many grocery stores - Aldi, Lidl, Lowe's foods, Walmart, Target, Food Lion, Publix, World Market; Local restaurants, Fast food, Lowe's, Home Depot, TSC (best place I've found to refill Propane), Hobby Lobby and tons of other places to go. Multiple gas stations with diesel. Lake Murray is 3.5 miles away has a walking path over the damn, public boat launch ~6 miles away, Saluda Shoals Park, Riverbanks Botanical Garden, Riverbanks Zoo & Garden, Columbia Canal and Riverfront Park, South Carolina State Museum, The Congaree National Park Harry Hampton Visitor Center, worlds largest fire hydrant...
Misc. Info - There are a half dozen places to dump tanks near by. The 2 that I've been to but never dumped at are Love's truck stop 11 miles away at 340 Longs Pond Rd, Lexington, SC 29073. 2nd is Barnyard campground ~5 miles away at 201 Oak Dr., Lexington, SC 29073. I think they're both $10. We have room in our trash for a kitchen sized trash bag if needed. We also have a large recycling can you can use, there's a big sticker on the lid that lists what can go in it. There is a small can near it for crushed aluminum cans, we give them to the Fire Department.
It's ok to spend nights away while you rig stays here, have guests come visit you here, have packages delivered while you're here or ahead of time so they'll be here when you arrive.
Would love suggestions on for improvements. Currently planning a guest shower. If you would like a long stay we can have a port-a-john delivered for $80 a month.

This was a really great place! It is really close to stores but located on a very quiet road. It felt very safe and Mark was a great host! Super friendly and helpful and went out of his way to make my stay great. Would absolutely stay here again!
Very accommodating friendly quite laid back camping
Very friendly and helpful great place to go especially if youre a dog person. All around great time!
Car camping on Mark’s property was exactly what we hoped for- peace and quiet and remote enough we could run our hybrid for air conditioning without bothering anyone! Mark had a fire going to greet us, along with his super friendly dog Remy. Great location!
