Great spot on the lake and in the w
Perfect little spot to spend a few nights on the lake and in the woods. Saw a herd of deer as I was diving in. Lots of firewood, really clean, easy to get to, and an overall good experience. As the other person mentioned there is a kennel or something up above and the dogs do bark, but seems like mostly at what might be the fending times, and not at night. Didn't here them at night the two days I was there, which was nice. The in road is kind of close to the site and you can see it, but very few cars traveled it. Would stay again. Jacob was a great and communicative host.
Jake was a very nice host. He offered to meet us at the property and show us around the campsite before we arrived. However we declined because it seemed we could find our way around.
Our stay was very nice. The campsite itself was clean and had prepared fire wood and stumps for ease of building a campfire. There is a road leading to the campsite but it is a bit blocked and the only access to it is a steep curb so you can either park in the gravel parking lot and walk maybe 1/4 mile to the site or brave scraping (we made it without in a VW Jetta) and park closer to the site.
The site was not as secluded as we had expected be aware that there is a road by the campsite that is separated by a small patch of forest so you will see cars passing at night and during the day I imagine they could also see us sitting around the fire at night.
The dock was very nice to have access to the water however it is a short walk from the campsite and you can’t see the water from your site.
Plenty of firewood was provided. Lovely view from dock. There is a pet boarding kennel within a mile and if you aren’t a dog person, don’t stay here. They barked all day and most of the night. Not the hosts fault but just a heads up. We saw otters in the lake also. Nice trip and we will return
Thank you, Jacob!
The site is great. Jacob has provided tons of firewood, so no need to bring your own. The dock by the lake is lovely and super relaxing. We spent great evenings on the dock, watching the stars or the bats hunt.
Jacob is a great host and has been most helpful whenever I needed his help.
I rain is in the forecast, I would advise to leave your car at the top of the driveway. We got stuck in the mud trying to leave. But Jacob was super kind and helpful.
Nice little campsite! It is pretty close to the road and you probably shouldn't try to drive right up to it unless you are in a truck or 4x4 vehicle. Very clean, nice benches and firepit set up. Thanks Jacob!
It was an excellent location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was secluded and felt like we were in the middle of the woods. There was plenty of firewood, a trash can, chairs, and a dock. We fished and spent time together by the fire. We highly recommend this place and will definitely come back.
