Gypsy Wind Farms is raising two unique breeds; Mangalitsa Pigs and Barbados Blackbelly sheep.  We have 54 acres backing up to Sumter National Forest.  Our Hiking Trails circle pastures, then roll down to the 'bottom land' where there are creeks and great wildlife observation areas.  We are 5 miles from Strother Landing on the Broad River and 10 miles from Lake Monticello for swimming, fishing, or boating.  We are just minutes away from Sumter National Forest Trails and Parks.  There you will find horse riding trails, shooting ranges, etc.  We are just minutes away from Palmetto Trail in Pomaria. We have great areas for star-gazing and watching Meteor Showers!

During your visit on the farm, we encourage you to interact with our animals and enjoy the farming life.  Collect your eggs from our free-range chickens and ducks, hang out with our Mangalitsa Pigs, introduce yourselves to our rams and ewes!  Everyone here on the farm loves cookies and Tricuits!  And if you're in for it, we can ALWAYS use a hand with chores!

We have a farm store here and sell our naturally-raised Pork and Chicken. We also have local canned jams, pickles and Honey, grass-fed butter and other goodies, including our Mangalitsa Lard soaps, lotion bars and Porky Pucker lip balm.  Plan your meals around our chops, brats or a Shoulder Butt for an awesome BBQ weekend!  Let us know ahead of time and we can pre-sell the larger cuts and have them thawed and ready for the grill.

Give us a call if you have questions about facilities or our farm!

Cool farm vibe. Chickens, roosters, peacocks, all running free and having fun. Nice hosts. Good, Private camp spot for a short trip if you don’t have time to make it all the way to the mountains on a short weekend.

My husband and I had a great stay over the weekend. We stayed back by the pond, and loved sleeping to the sound of the frogs. It was fun touring around and checking out all the adorable animals they had on the farm! We also enjoyed our walk at the palmetto trail about 25 mins away. Their meats at the farm store were delicious too. Great little farm retreat!
