What a great place! The campsite is in Daniel's yard, but he gives campers a lot of space and privacy. There's a great place for a camp fire, a BBQ grill and a table with chairs overlooking Edisto River.
Bring your floats and walk up the river for a bit and float down to your camp. It's safe (no alligators, according to locals) and so much fun.
We like to explore new places, but might actually come back because we had such a good time there.

Sketchy property. Wild neighborhood dogs scared my dog, we ended up leaving the property and sleeping on our car elsewhere. Large, rocky road/driveway caused us to get a flat tire.
Was amazing on the water and Daniel was super helpful with anything you needed!
We had a peaceful stay and enjoyed the river view. Very private and our dog had a nice dip in the river.

We stayed at Daniel's campsite for 2 nights in mid-July. It's really nice to be right by the river. We brought our kayaks and paddled upstream about 20 min. to get to the state park, where the banks of the river are undeveloped. I also enjoyed swimming in the river. The Edisto looks calm, but the current is pretty swift, so you need to be a good swimmer to not get swept downstream. We enjoyed the hook-ups and picnic table provided. Our dog loved the river and being able to run around.
We were surprised by how many lots there are on Daniel's little street, and how close together they are. We got there closer to dark and I was a little worried we'd find ourselves in the middle of a big party scene, but actually it was very quiet, with hardly anyone around. Some carpenters did come one day for about 5 hours and that was pretty loud because of their generator, but it didn't bother us much.
There is quite a bit of trash strewn about, not so much at the campsite, but on adjoining properties and around the construction site.
Daniel was not there, so we never met him nor heard from him while we were there. He did communicate ahead of time to make sure we had good directions and knew where to park our camper.
