This is such an amazing spot!!! Clean, private, and beautiful! Jacob was very responsive and helpful. No cell phone service which was a nice way to unwind. Close enough to civilization to not feel too off the grid. Will definitely stay here again!
Very nice camping site. The tree canopy at the site was so cooling.
Great private cove, clean drinking water and a Porta potty !… Will camp again!
Very nice and quiet. We loved how secluded it was and beautiful area. Dock area is nice and taken care of and entering the water area was maintained and nice. We will be using this site again.

The site was amazing and situated nicely in the woods. There is a public road next to the site beyond the trees... but it's not traveled often and with the growth of the trees you hardly notice it's there (I'm sure in the fall and winter that might be a different story). There's a fresh water spicket, a porta-John outhouse, and fresh cut firewood all within walking distance to the site. The firewood was amazing to have since we arrived on a heavy raining day and having dry firewood was going to be an issue.
You can't see the lake from the site (I didn't realize this by the photos but it was fine). There's a ready made trail that takes you from the camp site to the fishing dock. There you will find the canoes and kayaks you can rent. There's also several life jackets you can use, and two wooden chairs you can sit on to enjoy the view.
The only thing I didn't enjoy was the constant crowing of the roosters and chickens one of the neighbors had... as well as several dogs barking. I understand this isn't the hosts fault, but would have been great to enjoy the peacefulness of nature. We're indifferent on returning because of the noise but our son loved it and didn't care to much either way... he loved the swimming and fishing.
Camp site was everything it says. Awesome time! We will definitely be keeping this spot on our list of camp sites.

Private camp area, pretty much quiet and secluded. We saw 6 cars go by all weekend and heard the roosters and dogs every now and then, but as long as our radio was up we could not hear them. Plenty of firewood onsite that Jacob keeps cut and ready to burn, which we appreciated as it was 37 both nights there. Definitely worth the visit and we hope to be back!

Booked a few weeks out and there was severe weather that weekend, rain , t-storms, cold down to 20 degrees and high winds. I often camp in the cold so I messaged Joshua that I wouldn’t use the reservation from Fri-Sun. It was inside cancellation window so he offered use of kayak if I booked again. Well within Hipcamp rules but could have moved to another weekend or something. Literally no dates were booked. Again, was very polite and followed the rules but I won’t book here again.
The site is exactly as described and such a peaceful and private area. Would definitely recommend.

Hi Brian, thanks for leaving a review. I am sorry to hear that you are disappointed with your experience. You are correct, you were my first booking of the season, and the calendar was wide open afterwards. Because you were the first booking, your trip decided when I needed to have the portable bathroom delivered for the year. I had it delivered a few days before your trip, and already incurred the expense in preparation for your trip. I hope you'll reconsider and try a visit to Cove Camp. If you're interested, id be happy to offer a 20% discount, and the kayak offer still stands as well. Thanks! -Jake
