A great stay!
The lake was beautiful! The honey tasting was one of our favorite things, we got some honey to take home too. The little kitty was adorable. We we’re cooking and he was very interested in our food, to the point where we had to throw some food for him to eat in peace, but it was a small price to pay. The only other thing I’d say is there were a lot of gnats, or like little flies. Nothing biting (which was super nice), just kinda annoying. All in all, a wonderful stay! Nice and quiet and the bathroom was clean and cared for.
Camping on the edisto!
If you are looking to disconnect in peace and quiet, I highly recommend black pearl farm. Everyone is friendly, and I really enjoyed the honey tasting with Meg. It is nice that they have a bathhouse not too far away from the sites. Definitely bring bug spray/mosquito coils, etc if you’re going to stay at the further sites because it’s a wet area where the bugs thrive.
Perfect camping experience.
Everything went well. It was perfect. Easy to find the farm, friendly excort to a sweet camping spot with wood delivery and nearby shower/ toilet. The trees, the river, the honey! And, of course, Bobbie, the resident kitty.
On the river
Beautiful property right on the Edisto! Fantastic fresh honey and lots of nature! Alex was a fantastic host and we will be returning! I would highly recommend them for your next camping adventure!
We loved our stay here! The site was secluded and peaceful. Access to the back site was just a little rough for our minivan, but it all worked out. We enjoyed the Farm Tour. Shoutout to Alex for showing us the place!
Peaceful & relaxing
It was a great camp! There was a river right next to our site that we could go fishing in. Our Scouts BSA troop really enjoyed the camp. The directions were clear and the people on camp were friendly and helpful. The night was quiet and peaceful with an owl hooting periodically.
