Our property is located in the rocky outcrops of the Bremer Ranges and is on the Bremer River in Rockleigh. This site was once a overnight yard for the sheep farmers who were passing through the area.

We have three separate locations for campers to choose from. The Gums- surrounded by small gum trees right near the Bremer River. The Carob- this site is situated further back from the river and is surrounded by mulberry trees. Lastly we have The Sticks- this site is behind the scrubby bushed and requires tight access and is more suited to tents and swags.

The decent into camp is quite narrow and steep so please drive carefully.

We are 45 minute drive from the Lavender Federation Trail which is a popular walking track in the region.

We are only 30 minutes drive from Monarto Conservation Park which is a popular spot for walking trails and picnics. Monarto is also home to a Safari Park which is the largest Safari Park in Australia and home to lots of interesting animals.

We have a toilet available but please BYO toilet paper. Due to fire bans in the area fires are not permitted at this time. Sorry, not pets.

On arrival thought what a great aspect with the river flowing through the campsite. Has good layout and facilities and although we only spent one night we had a great walk along the river in the afternoon. Had a great chat with Rodney who was full of helpful info. The only criticism would be the areas by the river that had been excavated near the campsite. I understand its part of a working farm but has an impact on the river scape comprises the experience for visitors.

What a lovely location and great hosts! Rodney and Kirsty both popped down to welcome us and provide us with information about the site, and for a friendly chat to get to know one another. The sites are quiet and secluded with nice clean loos (long-drops) nearby. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

From the moment from driving down the long, winding, slightly rocky and steep in places, driveway, and you see the view of the Bremer river valley, I knew this stay would be great. You are in a different world, surrounded by the sounds of the outback, yet only minutes from civilisation. Very simple yet clean facilities, (long drops have a reputation of being disgusting, but these were very clean (my wife would even approve!!)). The bleating of the roaming sheep perusing around the camp ground was nice, and the endless sound of the local birds adds to the ambience. Having mobile fire pits/braziers is a great touch. The river wasn't running much when we were here, but still had plenty of water in it. But with water there comes mosquito's, so arm yourselves with bug repellent. Overall, well worth the trip.

We stay at campsite 1, right behind the shed and close to the river. The campsite has a nice view of the riverbank and well sheltered from wind. The portable fire pit was convenient, but a firepit on the ground would be better for warming up. Toilet is clean. Would definitely be back.

Thank You for your review, the idea of fire pits is to save our natural wild grasses , protect wild life and our animals from hot coals, make it easier to clean up ( some still think it’s fine to burn their rubbish and cans/bottles) pits contain embers better preventing accidental fires , as we don’t want to clean up leaf and stick litter which homes our little critters as with the don’t collect fire wood only use supplied kindling or purchased wood . Hope this clears up my reasoning for people to PLEASE use the pits supplied Thank You Rodney
