If you’re lucky enough to see a lightning show In Coober Pedy, they rarely disappoint. Lots of attractions around town, eateries, Museums, and of course the Opal shops to oooh and ahh over the beautiful displays and pieces of jewellery available, learn the history of Opals, chat with long standing Coober Pedians in town and discover the the sense of humour developed living in the middle of OZ. Enjoy our wonderful weather, yes sometimes we have rain and when we do, I marvel at the puddles down Hutchinson street, it’s not something we see often. Don’t forget to try your hand at noodling, a real favourite with the kids and gives them their own fossicked opal to take home and show their friends and Nana and Poppa. I’ll try to inspire you with things to do, where to go, who to meet for a memorable experience during your stay

It was nice to have a little puppy dog off the lead unable to run around a little bit. Karen’s dog for is very friendly
Safe, secluded & beautiful views!
Great spot, safe and secluded, beautiful views and lovey host!! Enjoyed a peaceful night and was nice to have a fire with a great view. We had a lovely night with little wind and the sunset sky was beautiful!!! Would definitely stay here again, was so nice to meet Karen and prefer to stay here than in town. Kids loved it too and made friends with her friendly cat.
Best thing to see and do in coober
We think this is the best hidden feature of Coober Pedy! Awesome views from the door of your van or camper, super quiet, kangaroos feeding across the road. Would recommend to anyone - but.... only 5 sites so getin quick ;)
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, perched on Karen's block. Wonderful views across the plains, red sunset glows on the hills. Karen helpful and accommodating. We even saw 2 small kangaroos close by.
