Come camp in our secluded Firefly Field and soak in some nature. This field is surrounded by trees to give you a private space of your own. There are often deer grazing in the morning and afternoon hours and you will surely see plenty of birds and other wildlife as well. Expect to fall asleep to the sounds of crickets and cicadas and wake to the songs of birds and the crow of our rooster. You are welcome to walk around, visit with the pigs and chickens, and check out our orchard. Please be careful of poison ivy while roaming the farm and be sure to do a tick check. Friendly, well-behaved dogs are welcome. You must pick up after your dog!! We have a dog and toddler as well as a cat, chickens, and pigs so your dog must be well-trained and friendly. We are a working farm so we may be out on the tractors during the day getting some work done. Feel free to come over and chat!
THERE ARE NO BATHROOM FACILITIES AVAILABLE. If you are not a self contained RV you MUST come prepared to carry out any human waste.
I will need some notice to hook up the sink to water, the extension cord run out there, as well as to get the site mowed and ready. The sink’s water is potable and located at the site.
Pork and eggs from our farm are available upon request. Send a message for more details!
Centrally located! Drive 30 minutes North to Providence, 30 minutes South to Narragansett Beach, 20 minutes East to Historic Wickford Village. Plenty of hiking and mountain biking trails just minutes away - Big River Management Area and Cuttyhunk Brook Preserve are right down the road!
Please note there is currently a brush pile in the center of the field, not in the way for camping, but we are unable to burn it until we get a large rainfall. Please DO NOT light it on fire. A fire pit and fire wood is provided.

Sweet, peaceful farm. Just as described.
Host was great and very accommodating, great communication. Unfortunately i didn't make it that much night
Both the spot and the drive in were wonderful. There is an outdoor sink with drinkable water, a fire pit, and they aren’t kidding about the fireflies. Ms Swanson was very kind, we got in late and they left some lights on for us. 10/10 highly recommend.
Thank you again!
We loved Firefly Field at Swanson's Farm! There's a gorgeous, wide open clearing where we parked our camper, and there was plenty of room for our family to enjoy nature, stroll over to the orchard to walk up and down the rows of apple trees they're growing there, and say hello to the chickens and pigs! Jaclyn is kind and communicative, and the land is a perfect spot to stay. 10/10 would stay again and recommend to anyone else!

Beautiful place to spend a day. Jaclyn and her husband were excellent hosts, communicated well. We and our two toddler boys stayed in a tent on the site, (we carried out our own waste as there is no restroom facility). We were met by deer on our arrival, we were told there were turkeys (and baby turkeys) on the property. Hosts were courteous and got us everything we needed. Fire pit was great and was filled with many fire starter materials. Sink was close by with potable water. There was no poison ivy in the camping area, but there was some in rest of farm area, and soap that gets rid of the oil was provided at the sink as well. Our kids loved meeting the hosts’ daughter and dog, and enjoyed seeing the pigs and chickens. We also got a tour of the orchard. The field for camping is private but also close enough to feel secure. For tenting, it was not perfectly level, but this was clearly communicated beforehand and we did not have trouble, the grass around was mowed nicely. We had a great time and would definitely recommend the site!
