We have had a couple of pretty negative reviews in the past month. Not mentioned by these reviewers was that they were offered free nights on the farm at anytime in the future to make up for their disappointment. Maintaining the grass was a large problem with myself overseas for a month and my son down with Covid for the same amount of time. The grass is now back to normal and the river access accessible to all. What I will add is that their seems to be an overarching intent for the bad reviewers to get back at the Host for circumstances that were less than ideal. In offering free nights on the farm I was seeking to remedy their disappointment and show them just how great a stay could be. One has continued to message me incessantly about his grievances. Best these guys go and bother some other person. Each Camp Site has power and water available and is great venue to try new equipment out without being a 100miles from civilization. This a beautifully quiet 32 acres with around 500m of Mary River frontage - enjoy spotting the platypus or throwing in a fishing line. Come and relax in the shade by the Mary River. Visit the local attractions such as Borumba Dam or Noosa during the day and then come back to camp to relax by the fire to catch a glimpse of the sundown at the far end of the property. Guests are required to be fully self sufficient with their own toilet and shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Enjoy plenty of bird watching early mornings or afternoons.

Site 4 - Riverside camping spot
OUR NEW FAVOURITE
Absolutely loved this camp, premium large drive through sites, quiet and scenic location. Very well maintained grounds, beautiful lawns, lovely shady trees, wonderful views, access down to the creek. Reliable power at each site for all your creature comforts. Glenn is a wonderful host, responsive, friendly, fireplace was stocked on arrival, checked in with us after settling in and when the wet weather started to roll in. Disregard the reviews from early Jan when QLD experienced some extreme wet weather and humidity, even our own yards back home were overgrown. Critics are harsh, we couldn’t have loved this spot more. We will be back, 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Site 4 - Riverside camping spot
Beautiful/currently no river access
Unfortunately the host didn’t mention that we weren’t able reach the river which is the main reason we chose this property, to walk down and sit by the river with our dogs. Access wasn’t possible down a steep slope due to 1-2m dense weeds - we are fine with bush bashing and the deep washed out track from the storm may have been fine (for some guests) to navigate carefully if you could actually see where you were standing. Given the length of the weeds, it hadn’t been cleared in at least two months (ie it was there before the recent wet weather), so the host would have known when I booked last week (I contacted him to ask a seperate question before booking). The general mowing the previous reviewer mentioned, we could see had just grown a bit through the storms which is understandable and not a problem. Note - the host does not live at the property but his son and I believe it was his partner do, they were lovely. So perhaps in future the host could update the profile to explain there is currently no river access, so guests can choose if this is important to them. I do feel for the previous reviewer - he should have been given a refund when he asked as the place isn’t currently as described. We had no other choice but to stay as it was the afternoon when we arrived and it is the only annual leave we could, and will get, for some time. We enjoyed the view and meeting Glenn’s son and partner (and their dogs).

Site 4 - Riverside camping spot
Very peaceful.
We stayed in site 4. As mentioned in other reviews leveling blocks are required. Site 4 has the best view of the hills and cows across the creek with a beautiful sunset in the afternoons. We tried fishing but the bank was a little washed out and overgrown due to all the recent rain. Parish offered to sort it out but we said not to worry it wasn't a huge issue for us. We still went anyway. All in all a beautiful little spot for a stop over.

Site 4 - Riverside camping spot
Overall negative experience
Overall this was a disappointing experience in which we didn’t even unpack our gear and stay for the night due to the state of the site. The grass was way overgrown and river access was nowhere to be seen, unless you’re expected to trek through heavy scrub for a swim or fish? We were already quite disappointed to drive 2 hours for the site to look nothing like the pictures, but more disappointing was the hosts refusal to refund the cost even though we never stayed. All 4 sites were available that evening so the host was really not obstructed in any way of making income, in essence they just took $80 from us for doing nothing. They did offer another night for free but given we don’t actually want to stay there that seems an invalid proposal. We tried to call the host twice from the site to query things but there was no answer, and in later messages it was stated they were overseas. Everyone is entitled to a holiday, however if you’re not in the country to maintain your land then maybe don’t advertise it for use in a clearly overgrown state. I feel that’s a fair expectation of campers. This was an overall very negative experience for us and the first time it’s occurred using Hipcamp. Hopefully the host can take it on board or maybe not be so strict with their cancellation/refund rules in the future and consider the whole situation at hand.

Site 2 - Riverside camping spot
Weekend at Tuchekoi.
We enjoyed staying at Glenn's place. Great view from site 2. Blocks aren't even, but not a showstopper. Take your leveling blocks.

Lovely spot and a spectacular view. Super easy to set up camp and the room you get in each site is enormous.
