Or cycle to the beach, or catch the ferry across to incredible Stradbroke Island and walk the Gorge!!

There is a TIDAL creek and billabong on our property so put your crab pots in, and fish from the bank or just relax by the waters edge watching the tide come and go.

There are three designated areas at the campsites where you can enjoy a fire. Please use only the spaces provided and bring your own firewood. You are welcome to use fallen timber for kindling.

Make sure you search for the walking tracks. It’s so beautiful and quiet here, yet you’re only a 3 minute drive to Maccas etc We are within easy reach of plenty of great beaches, cafes and shops so you will have everything within easy reach to have a great time away. Come and have a wonderful, private and peaceful stay with us. You deserve a rest/treat/adventure

We require our visitors to be self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and take all waste and rubbish with them on departure.

Pets are welcome but please be aware the property is not fenced. Keep pets under your control at all times.

Prior to arrival please text ETA. You will be met at the gate and helped down to the sites.

If it’s wet it’s no fun at all and it brings the mozzies out. Don’t book if the forecast is bad.

As we only have three sites, there are no cancellations once booked.

Part of the track down to the sites has a steep 10mtr decline. If it’s wet, two wheel drives may not make it.

If you get stuck of course we can help you. Prior to driving any vehicles down the track it is important you walk it first. Once you have done this you can make your own decision whether to proceed.

A Mercedes Sprinter van has recently made it, however he sustained some damage to his roof.

Just be sensible but light a great fire and have fun!!

Any questions call or message me.

Thank you 😊

Campsite was amazing. So far from the property you would not have known you were anywhere near a house. Camped near the creek - plenty of flat land for a few tents and a decent fire. Awesome rope swing over the billabong. Peter himself couldn’t have been a better host. Just remember your bug spray and if you don’t have a 4WD park up to the side before you go down the hill (not a far walk for carrying your stuff to the campsite). If you have a 4WD you’re more than sweet. Again, absolutely awesome campsite and host, he even gave the old Yaris a tow up the hill.

Great place and great hosts! Peter was fantastic and the night was amazing. You get a real feeling of isolation in the middle of the suburbs. Will be back

Peter was a wonderful host (more than we could have asked for). The site was beautiful. We couldn’t be happier. Very excited to go back and explore some more.

Absolute tranquility 5 min from Victoria point shops! Peter the host was just awesome and was only too happy to help in any way.
Fire, fishing, (mullet is good bait to use) and relaxing. Highly recommended.

I was absolutely blown away by this property and Peter.
The name couldn’t be more fitting.
His kindness and humanity is reflected in the calmness of the property.

We were lucky enough to have the billabong to ourselves, this is priceless if you happen to have that opportunity.

We had the most amazing time with access to endless flora and pretty cool fishing for the teens and a laugh for the guys.
(All catch and release particularly the the Murray Cod as he is protected here)
We caught brim and Murray cod.

My only complaint and BY NO MEANS OWNERS ISSUE is By night sadly across Aus. We have a cane toad problem and this place is not short on them.
Be wary with dogs after dark, they are not concerned to come close.

Secondly is people that are using the location.
This owner has allowed people to access something that is rare and he has no obligation to.
The way people leave rubbish around is atrocious.
If you have 5 mins on a walk and are keen like me lol…. Grab a garbage bag and as you walk through the gorgeous bush land, pick up a few things. It all helps

Thank you so much Peter, I have the most amazing photos See you soon, can’t wait to be back

So many walking tracks to find I’ll do my part each visit 🌻So sad to see when something is shared voluntarily The Ranch - Rare & Hidden Oasis.

Thanks Hayley for such a wonderful review. We thoroughly enjoyed you all being with us. We’d love you to come back and share with us. Thank you for picking any litter up. My dog is responsible for the odd plastic bottle. Every morning she pulls them out the bin with excitement to go for her walk. The property floods two or three times per year too. Litter can be dispersed over certain areas after flooding. Some laying undetected if off the tracks, bits of plastic, tennis balls and more so plastic bottles that float in from upstream. We really appreciate your care and kindness. I loved meeting you. Thanks again for your lovely words about our special home ❤️🌸😊

The site was exactly as described and pictured. Peter the host was very accommodating and always ensured that we were comfortable during our stay. There are beautiful walk trials around the camp area and alot to explore. There is also a tidal creek to fish/crab as well. Peter provided communal facilities and he was only a phone call/ text away. We will definitely be back again. Thanks Peter for being a super host.

I will be going back as soon as I can, I really enjoy Peters block of land, he has something a lot of people would envy. Thanks Peter!
